Business communication is defined as the procedure of sharing thoughts and information
among the people within the business or outside the organization. Effective communication
among the employees and employer are the result of good business communication. Majorly,
business communication focus on the improvement of business operations along with
reducing the errors (Kasemsap, K., 2019). This leaflet is based on the Brit-tech which is a
multinational IT company which is performing business communication with their employees
to come in office after the situations getting normal after COVID-19. It highlights the
common challenges & barriers to effective communication, strategies for overcoming from
these barriers along with the importance of cultural awareness.
TASK
Common challenges and barriers to effective communication Physical barrier: Employees are worried about their health because of spread of
COVID-19, they do not want to use public vehicle for going office. Emotional barrier: The employees of organization feel that they can work
comfortably with their own schedule while working from home. Organizational structure barrier: Employees also have fear of their health because of
lack of ventilation and following of social distancing rules in business organization
(Verčič and Vokić 2018). Perceptual barrier: Some of employees are not vaccinated yet and now the
employees who are vaccinated are worried to interact with the non-vaccinated
employees.
Interpersonal barrier: Employees of organization are confused regarding their
interpersonal skills. Hence, they are feeling nerves in engaging with the colleagues at
work place.
Effective strategies for overcoming communication barriers Vaccination Camp: The management of Brit-tech organization can start a vaccination
camp in which all the non-vaccinated employees should be vaccinated. It will remove
the perceptual barrier and bring the employees back to work place (Seo, Primovic
and Jin 2019).
Attending office alternate days: The management of Brit-tech also require to work
with all the employees by applying the alternate days’ system under which 50% of

all the communication barrier. So that they can solve them by developing effective strategies
at work place.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it has been concluded that there are several barriers in-front of
employees while rejoining the office after COVID-19. The management of organization have
to develop the effective strategies and communicate them in an effective and efficient manner
to bring the employees back to the office.
