INTRODUCTION

of Human Resource Management in the organization has been significant and there are
various responsibilities on the Human Resource Management department of the
organization. There are key elements of human resource management in the organization
related to the service industry businesses. A study has been conducted in order to gain
significant knowledge regarding the elements of human resource management in the
service industry effectively. Initially, the study focuses on understanding the human
resource management in the organizational context. Further, its effect on the employee
relations and employment law of the organization is discussed. The recruitment and
selection practices are also discussed along with the need for training and development in
the organization. The knowledge of these areas would help in understanding the
effectiveness of human resource management in the service industry.

The role of Human Resource Management has been significant in the airline industry. It
assists in conducting operations in an effective manner. A report has been developed for the
line manager which discusses the role and purpose of human resource management in
British Airways. In addition to this, the report focuses on the HR plan which comprised of
the supply and demand along with the justification of different areas in order to deliver the
new flight service to Madeira.
