INTRODUCTION
The management of human resources is a significant approach within an organisation that
works for the productivity of the workplace. With a purpose for overcoming from the issues that
are associated with human resource management, managers of an organisation requires to adopt
various styles of leadership and management. In this present report, British Airways is an
organisation which is taken into consideration for demonstrating different aspects of this report.
It is a UK-based company and established in the year 1919 for providing airways services
(Banatvala, Peachey and Münzel, 2019). The company is the second largest carrier of UK which
is based on the number of passengers to be carried, fleet size and many other things. Within the
report, an overview of background of the chosen organisation and case are going to be discussed.
This report also includes actions to be taken by both employer and employees. The report also
involves the implication of airline business along with the description of ways in which the
disputes that occur in company can be resolved.
MAIN BODY
Background of company
The managers of British Airways are formulating a plan for introducing new software
within the organisation for the purpose of making their process more automated. HR managers of
the company are facing issues in recording the attendance of workforce, approving leave of
manpower and many other issues. For overcoming these issues, managers of company are
making plan to introduce a software of human resource within the organisation. But the human
resources of organisation are not supporting to this decision of administration because people
thinks that it will generate an issue for them as the software will record correct time of check-in
and check-out of manpower (Ellis, Krois, and Mah, 2021). This lead to conflicts among
workforce as well as management like lack of coordination, absence of trust, lack of
communication and many other factors.
Actions to be taken by employees
in context to British Airways, the workforce of company are resisting to alterations
within organisation and taking corrective actions that can influence organisation's productivity.
There are some of the actions that are taken by the employees of British Airways and these
actions are discussed as under:

ï‚· Manpower has stopped the working of company that affects productivity of human
resources. It stopped the work of organisation that negatively impacts the business.
Productivity is significant for the organisation because it offers the business an
opportunity for earning and maximising the profitability level and without it the company
cannot sustain within the market (Floyd, 2019).
ï‚· The manpower of the company are not ready for doing communication with managers of
business and are not making coordination with them that makes the situation more
serious because communication within an organisation is a key to every issue that occur
in the company.
It create negative aspects in the mind of employees as they think that management of the
organisation wants to execute various distinct policies for their own benefits and does not even
think of their employees.
Actions taken by employers
Within the situation, the employers of British Airways are also giving a reaction that can
adversely impact over the company's situation. The actions taken by the employers involve lack
of communication that occur among employees and management of the organisation. In this
circumstance, managers are trying to communicate with their human resources but there is no
outcome of this situation. Managers of the company are also not able to make their workforce
understand regarding benefits of the software for them as well as for organisation. For
overcoming this situation, administrators of the company are introducing new policies and are
also actively taking participation in training and development sessions that permits them in
communicating with their manpower (Kirwan, Cichomska, and Kilner, 2021). Also they can
convince their human resources by conducting meetings in which they can generate awareness
among the people regarding importance of human resource software of the company.
Implication of Airline business concern
Reduce productivity: The above discussed situations can also influence the productivity
of the organisation because both employees as well as management of the organisation are
concentrating on those problems and issues that occur within the business. This does not allow
the workforce to perform the business activities in an effective as well as efficient way the might
lead to reduce the level of productivity of the company.

Diverse focus: Issues as well as conflicts that occur within the organisation can result in
creating the problem for the company. These circumstances does not permit human resources to
concentrate on productive work and also permit them to focus on non-productive work within the
company (Raju, Saiv, and Nath, 2019). This might influence the performance of the manpower
or organisation as a whole and adversely impacts the company.
Wastage of resources: Problems and conflicts among the manpower as well as
management of organisation can lead to wastage of the company's resources. Because of this
situation, the human resource of the company are concentrating on gossips and other related
activities rather than focussing on operations of company. This can also create mental stability of
the organisation that does not permits them to perform in an effective as well as efficient way
which might results in wastage of company's resources.
Lesser turnover: issues or conflicts that occur in company might also result in lesser
turnover that can be explained the availability of the organisation for converting its stock into
cash. For overcoming this situation, the managers of company requires to take corrective actions.
It can negatively impacts the company that leads to less turnover.
Ways of resolving disputes
There are various leadership as well as management style that are to be adopted by
managers or leaders of the company that helps them in overcoming of the issues which occur in
organisation (Rangan, Riedy, and Van Dongen, 2020). British Airway can adopt different
leadership and management styles to overcome from the issues or conflicts that occur in the
business. Leadership styles adopted by leaders of respective company helps in influencing the
behaviour of workforce. These styles involve authoritative leadership style, participative
leadership style, delegation leadership style, transactional leadership style and transformational
leadership style. Managers of Bristish Airways are adopting participative leadership style in
which the manpower of the organisation takes active participation in the process of business
decision-making. Engagement of employees make them more involved and motivated and can
sometimes lead to disagreement among the members of team along with consuming time. This
gives several benefits as well as disadvantages to the organisation because it helps in enhancing
the satisfaction level of managers (Reason, 2020). This fosters creativity among human
resources and also facilitates in development of strong teams that helps to increase productivity
among manpower. There are also distinct management styles that are to be adopted by managers

such as democratic, autocratic, charismatic, laissez faire and many other. Management of British
Airways are adopting democratic style of management in which collaboration of employees is
also there for making business decisions (Sharov, Vorobyov, and Zatuchny, 2021). This style
allow human resources of company in getting new ideas, innovations and other effective things
within the workplace. This gives greater freedom to human resources who are performing their
business activities within the organisation. Both these leadership and management style permits
administrators of the company to get contribution of employees that helps in getting acceptance
of employees for Human resource Software to be executed within the company (Syed, Yadav,
and Magd, 2019). It is significant for company to overcome from issues and conflicts and also
permits them in creating favourable situation that brings success of organisation. This allows
them to develop new strategies within company that allows workforce in more focussing on their
work.
CONCLUSION
From above explanation of the report, it has been concluded that it is essential for the
managers of the company in managing people through applying effective strategies. This permits
them to overcome the conflicts that occur within the company related to employees. There are
different circumstances that occur in organisation that leads to conflicts which diverse
concentration on workforce for doing productive work to non-productive work. It generate
problems for the company as it negatively impacts the productivity, turnover and profitability of
company. To overcome these issues, managers of company can adopt different strategies such as
different kinds of leadership as well as management styles.
