Employability skills are mainly considered with attributes of the individual or the
transferable skills needed by the employees to work effectively within the organisation. It
considers essential qualifications for the job positions which is necessary for individuals
employment success. Therefore its is necessary for the employees to work effectively and
develop their professional skills, which leads to enhancement of their career path. The following
report is based on British Gas, and is the leader supplier of energy company within UK and is a
top 30 FTSE 100 organisation With its operation in UK and America. It is the UK's leading
supplier of energy and has targeted large customer accounts The following report will throw
highlights on the adoption of range of techniques and tools to enhance brand image of the
company. (Andrews and Russell, 2012). I addition to this, it determines how these helps
individuals or employees to attain their personal goals and objectives and helps in the success of
the organisation. It also discusses importance of various types of skills which the employees
should adopt and relate them with the employees job related responsibilities which helps them in
attaining the objectives. It also discusses reflective part against the skills audit system in order to
analyse which skill employee has to develop.

As been employed by the British Gas to work as an Employment strategy division has the
work of improving the position of the company in the modern world. This will require to use a

increased their market share. This also leads to reduced prices of shares for the company as well
as reduces the position and image in the global market.

British Gas helped me in improving my current skills and knowledge in the best possible
manner. This is because various kinds of training and development programmes were arranged

was able to achieve my goals and target in a appropriate manner. For increasing my motivation
level British Gas has also provided different kind of rewards and benefits. As with the help of
this I was able to work in a desirable and systematic manner. Plans and strategies were made by
the management of organisation for increase my career paths and potentiality (Jones, 2013). My
role in British Gas was related with marketing, so it was very much essential for me to learn and
develop new skills and capabilities. As after doing this I was able to provide better services to
customer’s. New and innovative ideas were used to increase the market share of the organisation.
Now I can make better plans and strategies for overcoming challenging and risky situations in
the market. But I also need to make plans for improving some skills, as by doing this I will be
able to lead and guide other employees in a more desirable manner. After forming and
implementing the development plan in a proper manner work of other employees in the
organisation can be easily assigned by me according to their skills and capabilities. Better tools
and techniques will be used to solve and overcome the problems in the effective and efficient
manner. Best use of the opportunities available in the market can be used by me. This will
directly result in increase in sale and profitability of the organisation within limited period of
