INTRODUCTION
This present report will discuss the key issues facing by organisation. Further, the
importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to strategy. The influence of Brexit on
organisation's operation will also include. The chosen organisation in the British Land Company
Plc. It is one of the largest property development and investment companies in UK. Company
was founded in 1856 and its headquarters are located in London, England.
TASK
Issues that British Land Company is facing and along with recommendation.
Employees are key to get success. It is very important that employees should remain
happy and satisfied with the company. British Land company is facing the issues of high labour
turnover from last few years (Rowell, 2017). Company with high labour turnovers has many
problems. The root causes of turnover must be discovered in order to reduce the number of
employee leaving the organisation and seeking employment elsewhere. The influences if
employee turnover is very important as its affect the entire productivity of organisation. It is very
important that employees should feel valued for the organisation. It is the duty of the
management of British Land company that they should deal very effectively with the employee
turnover which are as follows-
Offer Equitable and Modest Salaries- This is one of the most important retention tools
that British land company should focus as it is the best way to engage the employee for long term
basis. If employees found that, another organisation is providing more salary for same work, it
will demotivate. Thus, management should offer equitable and modest salary.
Democratic management theory- This is also most important management theory that
British Land Company could use for controlling the labour turnover within organisation. In this
theory, management used to take views and opinions of all the staff members in taking and
decision (Drake. and Gaudry, 2016). They used to involve all the employees in decision making
activity as it motivate employees as well as increase the retention.
Important to link Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to strategy.
Corporate Social responsibility is the very wide term which is used to describe the efforts
put by company in improving the society in some way. All the strategies of British Land
company is aligned with the sustainability strategy that emphasize or ficus on major areas like
social, environmental, economic trends in order to create worth or value for all the stakeholders

and the business (González-Ramos, Donate and Guadamillas, 2018). Here are the importance of
aligning the business strategies with Corporate Social responsibility are as follows-
Engaging Customers: Customers are key to get success as it is very important for all the
organisations and thus, it is very important that business strategies should be aligned to corporate
social responsibility. The main motive of CSR is to develop effective relationship with
customers. If the strategies of British Land Company is aligned with the CSR, it will retail or
engage the customers for long term.
Employees Retention: High labour turnover the affect the brand of the company. So, it is
very important to retain employees. As per the Corporate Social Responsibility, it is very
important to develop effective relationship with employees. It is very important that employees
should feel happy and satisfied with the work and workplace too (Rao and Tilt, 2016). There
must be proper safety at workplace. Proper wages and salaries, adequate working hours, weekly
off etc.
According to the UK sustainability report, British Land was awarded the UK's highest
accordance for business success for economic, environmental and social achievement over five
years. Well-being is the project that is undertaken by British Land Company as it creates the
place which promote health, increase enjoyment as well as improve productivity. Another project
undertaken was Futureproofing, it aims as enhancing and protecting the value of asserts through
environmental stewardship including generation of energy, efficiency of energy and reduction of
flood risk (Shaukat, Qiu and Trojanowski, 2016).
Impact of Brexit on British Land Company.
The withdrawal of United Kingdom from European Union is called as Brexit. The impact
of Brexit is seen around the world of economies. The impact of Brexit on the entire economy as
well business. The initial impact of Brexit is negative as it shock the investors and entrepreneur
that how they settle down but after that the impact comes to moderate level by settling a bit.
British Land post a loss as Brexit vote hits its values and worth of asserts (Kumar, 2017). People
or investors starts taking there money out from commercial property as they are scaring about the
future of there property. The uncertainty in Brexit policy is harming or damaging the property
outlook of British Land company.

Reflection on team working
The overall experience of working as a team when preparing as well as delivering the
group presentation. I have learned many things which are very beneficial for my future
personality development and growth. Team working is very important in today's era because in
quarter of works or jobs in corporate world are performed in a team.
I have enjoys many benefits which I need to share are as follows-
Working in a team I have notices that collaboration is very important and in my team all
team members are very cooperative and collaborative. Collaboration develops new ideas
from all team members which is not in individual work (Davis and McKenzie, 2018).
The solution of problems and issues are very effective and fast in team working. The task
or work assigned comes to end conclusion sooner. No delay in work.
In my team, every team members have unique skills like all are masters in
communication, speaking, reading, writing, problem solving and many others.
On the other hand, I have also faced some challenges working I team which are as follows-
Communication gap is one of the major challenges, I have faced working in a team it is
because some time, team members do not convey complete information and that leads to
misrepresentation and errors in work (Peters, Davis and McKenzie, 2018).
From my experience I have evaluated my self that how I perform my role in a team. I
have understood and try to improve my weakness. I will develop the best communication skills
so that any misrepresentation and errors will not be arise.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it is concluded that business face many up and downs operating in
the business environmental. British Land company is facing employee turnover which is
affecting its brand image for which they are going to addresses by management theories and
strategies. Further, the impact of Brixit on company was also discussed which is at moderate
level. Importance of aligning business strategies with CSR policies were also included in this
above report.
