INTRODUCTION
CSR activities is define as the voluntary action undertaken by a cited company in order to
operate in an economic, social and sustainability of environment. It includes. Promotion of
education, reducing child mortality and employment enhancing vocational skills. There are
different problems which are present in the society so to solve those issues, organisation need to
take appropriate initiative. In that process CSR activities are organise by the business entity to
support and provided assistance to them. The project assignment covers all three major aspects
of project management which are necessary require in implementing appropriate decision
regarding CSR activities (Bell, 2014). This report includes the Bookland hotel information that
how they are organising help and valuable support to their customers. It is categorised under a
well established 5 star hotel. It all talk about need and requirement of CSR activities through
using Gantt chart. The performances review is done after analysing all the results collected
regarding CSR activity.

P1: Project aim and objectives
In current scenario, it is necessary for an organisation to design a strategies regarding the
CSR activity. Therefore, it act as a one of useful method or technique of satisfying needs of
domestic as well as foreign clients. Furthermore, it also considered as a tool by which referred
organization promote their association across national boundaries. Hence, if it carriers in a very
smooth manner then it influence company and entire society in a positive way. Brookland Hotel
comes under telecom industry which is small business and popularized in local areas for offering
best electronic devices. Due to tiny in size they are having minimum employees due to which it
is not easy for them to plan or design a large CSR project but still they are supporting entire
community in small ways by helping individuals who requires. In recent era, refereed enterprises
does not contributed in activities which are linked with society betterment. Therefore, because
of this it become very indispensable to pay full attention on uplifting society by providing
necessary benefits to them (Bennett-Western Digital Technologies, 2014). Additionally , it has
been understood that after getting aware need of CSR project company will definitely throw
lights on activities which are related with betterment of society because consumers act as a

valuable asset for overall corporate world because all the products and services are consumed by
them only.

systematic manner. In other words, It is very much important for all organisations to implement
Social responsibilities otherwise they can suffer from various organisational problems and
difficulties (Cleary, Horsfall and Hayter, 2014). Mainly, it helps in building strong brand image,
resolving business situations and attaining sustainable goals. Brookland Hotel is a most popular
hotel band which provides various accommodation facilities. This multinational organisation
organising a program to implement CSR activities so that it can enhance its future growth and
development. This company wants to perform this practice because its competitors are getting
huge competitive advantage by implementing above mentioned activity. If Hilton will make
effort towards social communities then it can attract many individuals. Through this, company
can also get legal support form government. Hence, these are some main reasons which
highlights importance of performing corporate social responsibility.
Aim: The main purpose of This project report is to perform CSR practices to achieve
competitive advantage and substantial objectives as per the given case scenario.
Objectives: The main purpose of making this report are follows as under:

P2 Management plan
It is a document which shows the division of complete project into sub activities that will
be performed to complete and control over each task is kept. With the help of this management
can give the idea regarding what will be the total time taken to reach at the final stage of the
project. Given below are the details of how the given company will bifurcate its work to achieve
the final results. Planning is very necessary for managing all the activities in a proper manner by
considering all the essential facts and figures so that all the barriers get removed easily (Brown,
2013). Brookland Hotel adopted various techniques to manage their overall plan and activities as
well as distribute works as per duration.
P3 Work break down structure
This is an important concept as it helps the management team in dividing the whole task
of the management into different sections which can be managed easily with the given resources.
It is oriented towards giving the deliverables in a hierarchy manner which further helps the
operation team in prioritising the whole work. At each stage the work is defined in a detail
manner which helps the employees associated with it to understand the available scope with
them. Hence it can also be considered as an outline or map of a particular task which act as a
guideline for the whole team and this way the possibilities of achieving the set targets as it is
increases. It is designed by first analysing the core functions that are needed to be performed
while the life of project and than identifying the sub division which are possible to be made.
Further, allotments are made according to the nature of work as more complex task is given to a
more deserving candidate. This process also helps in realising the need of various resources as
while dividing the task sources required to carry out them can be discovered. Budgets are also
declared against each activity which aid in keeping effective control over cost and facilitates the
culture of comparison in an organisation (Chang, Walters and Wills, 2013). Hilton must use this
concept so that it can also calculate its financial development in respect to the efficiency of

P4 Small scale research by applying the qualitative and quantitative method
Quantitative research is in structured form as comparison to qualitative research because
of its statistical nature. In this method, the data analyse in the form of mathematical, statistical
and numerical. Data is collected with the help of questionnaires, polls, surveys etc. on the other
hand qualitative research method is related to understand the behaviour of human being and in
this data is gathered through interviews and also by the personal observations (Crane and Kazmi,
2010). To know about the affect of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities on
accomplishing the sustainable or attainable objectives or goals , both research methods
qualitative and quantitative will be used. These both methods are very effective and efficient and
also helpful in collecting data as well as information for a business firm which do not take part in
the CSR activities.

In the qualitative research method, researcher takes help from journals, books to collect
data and information in context to adopted Corporate Social responsibilities used by various
business firms. In relation to this,many articles and journals are written and introduced through
main authority of government on the CSR strategies along with activities. This kind of data is
very beneficial and effective for a business firm to develop new policies or strategies related to
the CSR in Brookland Hotel (Crawford and Nahmias, 2010). The qualitative research data is
necessary due to there are many different things whose meaning can be clearly defined only in
case when data and information is taken through the different journals, books etc.
On the second hand, along with qualitative data, quantitative research data is very
necessary to determine the affect of Corporate Social Responsibilities on create a competitive
benefit. The activities and tasks related to the CSR is completed for the local community only by
taking review or feedback from the people or can say respondents which is related to the affect
on business industry. In context to this, the primary data or information will be gathered through
the questionnaires, surveys because with the help of these relevant data will be collect and
authenticate information will be meet. With the help of this the management of Brookland Hotel
can identify or know the actual affect on sustainable goals and objectives.
At the end it has been analysed that collection of data is done by various methods for

Research can be defined as a process that helps in collecting or gathering important data
in a systematic manner by which new facts are identified that increases the knowledge and

research methodologies which are described below- Research design- It plays an important role in research process because whole
investigation is totally depend on it. It is carried out by researcher for identifying the
impact. Research design can be divided in to three parts that are descriptive, exploratory
and experimental. This investigation will be carried out on CSR activities so that
researcher can know about its benefit that will be got by company after doing this

activity. In this topic, descriptive approach will be suitable that will generate desired
result or outcome effectively and efficiently. Research philosophy- There are two types of philosophy, one is interpretive that helps in
understanding human action while other one is positivism approach which is used by
researcher to gain knowledge about scientific methods of enquiry. For this research,
interpretive philosophy will be suitable that will help in evaluating the data effectively
and efficiently by which researcher will be able to arrive at the appropriate conclusion. Data collection – There are two methods by which data can be collected effectively and
appropriately that are primary and other one is secondary data. If searcher wants to gain
information through primary method then he has to make questionnaire by which relevant
and appropriate information can be gathered from respondents. On the other hand if
investigator wants to collect information through secondary method then he has to take
help of books, journals and other sources by which data related to CSR activity can be
collected effectively and efficiently. Apart from this, with the help of CSR activities, firm
will be able to get competitive advantages over its rivals. But in this case, researcher
needs to identify the authentic authentic and relevant information.
 Data analysis – To analyse the collected data is very important for getting success in the

to analyse the response of respondents. Limitations – There are various types of limitations which have to face by researcher

because scholar has no proper time for getting response from large number of people

for long term goals of company it help to achieve organisation long term benefits by working on
products quality and quantity, and by making good change in products for customers which help
to retained their customer and attract more peoples (Brooklands
Hotel.,2017). Using CSR help to engage with customers,it help to know about environment and
the choice of customer related to products and than make changes in products according to
people's wants and needs this help to make retained their customer for long period of time.
Company should involve their employees in every important decision as a employee you
should know what's going on within your company. CSR make efforts to improve image of
company through doing good for the society and by contributing in non profit organisation
people think good about company which contribute something for society. CSR also help in
boost employee's confidence as they feel proud to be part of company who play important role in

P7 Reflect conducted project
It help me to improve my knowledge about CSR ,I get to know so much things about
CSR which is knowledgable for me. I used my communicational skills in the study to make it
perfect,this study help me to enhance my knowledge . By evaluating this project report is have
determined that there are two methods of market research. These are primary and secondary
market research. Primary method is more time and money consuming as compare to secondary
methods because in this various market surveys is get conducted. According to me secondary
research is more convention because in this company can take help of online sites. But is highly
important to gather accurate data about required information otherwise, organization can suffered
from financial losses. Most time consuming process of this project report was data analysis,
findings and questionnaire surveys. I was unable to cover all population which I have decided to
cover. But still I get enough knowledge from Gantt charts and critical path, through these
activities I have developed by learning which will help me in my personal as well as professional
life.
CONCLUSION
From the above project assignment it has been articulated that Company need to organise
CSR activities which an important aspect for Bookland hotel to attain sustainability. Through
this not only the customer base would increase but it all assist in getting competitive benefits
through generating maximum advantages to the society. It is observed that this project further
explains that the reason for carrying out the various activities that are followed in an
organisation. Under this case it is necessary because, it is recently established and will assist in
growth and goodwill maximisation.
