From the above analysis, I have identified certain emotional strengths and weaknesses for
myself. The emotional strengths I have identified are as follows:
I am an emotionally stable individual. I do not flow around with my emotions and react
under the pressure of my emotions.
My emotional stability enables me to keep calm and composed in certain situations as
compared to my peers and colleagues that lose their temper and react adversely towards
the situations and conditions.
My emotional intelligence aids me to enhance and enrich my empathy towards others in
my work environment. Empathy is the ability to identify the needs and wants of others.
Empathy enables me to understand and demonstrate the actions in a manner that sustains
and develops my emotional connection with others.
I have also developed self-awareness and confidence within myself. In my perspective
and viewpoints, self-awareness enables me to understand the intensity of the conditions
and react in a balanced manner.
As per my understanding and perception of the self, the following are my emotional weakness:
I have a tendency to stress and get frustrated about the increased work responsibilities
and duties. The increased pressure of work and responsibilities build up anxiety and often
impacts on my work performance and working behaviour.
Excessive competition and peer pressure result in demotivation and depression towards
me. The increased competition creates a threat to my inner self and is reflected in my
working behaviour.
I often reflect my desire for acclamation and appreciation in working terms. I expect
appreciation for my work and abilities but fail in communicating or experiencing the
same to my senior managing authority.
I am a reserved individual in nature and often create situations for myself in which I feel
frustrated and congested with the working environment and work ethics.
I have experienced various work-related conditions and situations in which I have experienced
stress or negative emotional state. The incidence of increased work pressure and responsibilities

on my part often created stress and anxiety for me. I have experienced increased stress due to the
requirements of multi-tasking and accomplishing the goals and objectives of a pre-defined
deadline and time durations. My reactions towards this condition of work stress and the pressure
were observed as decreased work quality and ability to complete the required tasks and work
allocated on time. Another incidence includes tassels between my peers and immediate
supervisor. The increased competition and peer pressure often result in tassels and distress
between me and my team members. The pressure from my peers and competition in my working
environment impacts on my work behaviour, adherence towards work ethics and quality of work
and team building. I have also experienced negative emotional states in the terms of depression
and demotion to work. The reasons for depression and demotion were identified as favouritism
and inclination of my superiors towards other employees. The lack of appreciation and faith of
my superiors in my working abilities and capacities decreases results in demotivation and
depression in me.
Increased work pressure and responsibilities along with competition in the work environment
majorly impact my emotional state at the workplace and workplace behaviour. This increased
work pressure and responsibilities trigger my emotional state of depression, stress, anxiety etc. I
can develop various strategies and programs to eradicate depression, anger, anxiety from my
workplace behaviour. I can implement the strategy to meditate and apply small yoga techniques
to release anxiety and anger. Another technique that can be applied is practising humility.
Humility is the ability of self to reflect modesty or lower view or self-importance. Practising
humility will enable to build up my confidence and focus on others to increase their work
presence and behaviour.
I have identified that my communication and work ethics are two work model behaviours that
have developed a positive outcome in the workplace. My managers communicate in a courteous
manner and professionally throughout all the formal and informal discussion. This has inculcated
a system in the work to communicate and educate the colleagues, seniors or juniors in a
professional manner that does not impact in an adverse manner upon the workplace behaviour.
Another incidence applies the techniques of work ethics another major component of work
model behaviours. Work ethics enables to identify and build ethical nature and behaviour in the

employees. A cue from a range of behaviours is displayed and a judgmental decision is
undertaken to develop ethical and coherent workplace behaviours and models.
The three actions I’ll undertake to improve my emotional intelligence on the basis of self-
reflection and feedback I have gathered from my peers, seniors and subordinates. There is a
constant need to decrease or eradicate stress and anxiety in my work behaviour, therefore, I will
adopt practising controlling my emotions when do not go as per my needs and requirements. I
will put in efforts to not blame others and undertake responsibility for any failed outcomes.
Another technique I can practice and execute is taking responsibility for my actions and reactions
towards the work environment situations and conditions. A self-evaluation will be practised to
understand and interpret the effects of my reactions and behaviour over others and analyze the
impact of decisions and workplace behaviour depicted by me.
