1. Describe the differences between the three forms of networking
The three types of network topology are LAN, Man and WAN and each of the network differs from each
other. The LAN is developed for connecting the network devices in a small area network and it can
consists of 500 computers. In addition to this, the LAN connects various small computers over the span of
area. The MAN connects a number of small LAN over the network, and additionally the MAN are
connected together by the WAN connection.
2. What are the benefits of networking?
There is various type of advantages of networking. This provides a better opportunity for the organization

the organization and their employees to perform efficient file transfer procedures so that the businesses

3. What are ‘clusters’ and ‘’brokers’ within a network in any organisation?

required to look outside the boundaries so the global trend can be followed and the company policies can
be adjusted accordingly. In addition to this the brokers are the persons that would be able to draw a large
amount of tools to make an analysis of the current market trends and support the processes of the
company. The production and the skill development within the organization are also handled by the

4. Why is it important to network outside your organisation?
It is important the organization networks outside the organization as this help in understand the market
efficiently and also provide an insight to the current demands in the market and the value of the products
in the market. This would help the reputation of the organization and there. Networking outside the
organization would also help the employees of the organization to understand the feedback of the clients
efficiently and would also provide them an insight on the reputation of the company.

The five types of relationship typologies are given below:
Conflict avoiders – it is used for minimizing the persuasion attempts and emphasis is given on the

between the parties so that there would then be an identifiable entity that is governed by a set few
principles that would act as guidelines and set boundaries, also offering a measure of legal protection to
those who come together for the purpose of working together for the greater good of the organization. A
partnership in a business sense is also such, but usually is by a well-defined formal agreement between
two or more parties, which is by a legally defined and binding document that is agreed to and signed by
the agreeing parties.
3. What are the three partnership principles? Explain why each of the three are important?
The three partnership principles are shared respect, Shared capabilities and Shared rewards. The
partnership is associated with alignment of the common goals. Hence shared respect is the most
important principle for the organization and it is important that organization and the peers respect,

The three key characteristics of effective relationship are:
Supporting:
For an effective partnership each of the member are required to feel optimism and the collaborate
efficiently with the others. In the supportive partnerships the members are infused with a great amount

Rewarding:
The partnership should be rewarding so that they are inspired to perform better in the collaborative
opportunities and this would increase the efficiency of the business of the organization.
Cohesion:
The partnership should be about a cohesion among the different partners in the agreement. All the

behaviour. That is, individuals high in emotional intelligence pay attention to, use, understand, and
manage emotions, and these skills serve adaptive functions that potentially benefit themselves and
others. A person with emotional intelligence does not only feel comfortable among others, but he or she
will help others to feel at ease as well. This is something that can be taught/ trained. This also effects the
team to a great extent so that the organization is affected and a great amount of improvement takes
place within the organization.
7. Explain organisational transformation and the management of the stages of change during a partnership
formation
During the partnership phase the organization has to adapt quickly to the change and transformation
within the organization. This would also change the model of the organization structure and the model is
based on the business of the organization. The employees of the organization also need to meet the
criteria mentioned by the organization and follow the rules and regulations of the organization. In
addition to this the organization is required to maintain a change management policy so that the business
of the organization is effective.

In case there is a conflict among the partner there has to some steps such as abiding by the rules of the

be managed effectively. In addition to this, the HR department of the organizations are also required to

The five conflict management strategies are:
Competing: In this type the other partner performs the task regardless of the other partners’ decision and
however this should only be use in case there is only is a minimal chance of saving a particular type of
partnership.
Collaborating: In this situation, the partners are both assertive and co-operative.
Compromising: In this approach, the partner might not be satisfied fully however, the main goal is only
limited to finding a solution.
Avoiding: In this approach the conflict is very common and the partner generally avoids the issues and the
problems is dealt without engagement of the other partner.
Accommodating: in this situation the demands of one of the partner is accommodated by the other
partner.
10. What steps can you take to end a partnership that is not working well?
The following steps are to be taken to end a partnership that is not working well:
Firstly, the partnership agreement is to be reviewed. After the review the partnership is discussed with
the other partners. All the debts and liabilities are discussed and cleared in the next step. The dissolution
of the partnership is filed and the other partner is notified. The partnership is ended when the other
partner reaches an agreement.

of the network is analyzed for the development of the network solution and a report is prepared
