1. Identify two key procedures or duties that are central functions of your work team.
Confirm these with your assessor to make sure they are appropriate for the assessment

Two key procedures or duties of central functions
Magic Hand Car Wash Company is a big company which has been operating its business on
huge level so far. As a Car wash company attendant, an individual has two basic and major key
procedures which will be considered as the most important duties in a car wash company so far.
The following will be the key procedures or duties of car attendant as well.
Customer handling (over call & personally) – A car attendant must has a important duty of
managing customers such as taking customers appointments over calls and when the customers
personally visit the drive ways so far. It will be considered as one of the most important duties in
order to receive the appointments because car attendants do have a direct connection with the
customers and they represents the company directly so it will be very important that the
customers would be treated very well (Singh, et. al., 2018).
Car wash & polish – A car attendant has to manage the role which will be considered as directly
related to the satisfaction level of the customers. It will be helpful to understand that customers
would be happy or satisfied with the car wash services the company has been provided as well. It
is important the car attendant must be trained and effectively skilled in order to manage and fulfil
customers’ requirements as well.
2. Develop a process map for each of these processes and identify the resources used and
wastes generated for each of the processes. List the resources that you use in the resource
identification table (attached). List one resource per row as well as the waste and
environmental impacts that are caused by using the resource (where appropriate).

3. Identify an accurate method of measuring the usage of the resources you have identified
and listed.
The resources which have been used in car washing system, the following will be the measuring
methods for used resources in it.
Telephones –It will be measured with the number of telephones has been used in the workstation
or office to fix the appointment.
Washing chemicals – The quantity (in litres) will be the measuring methods to measure the
chemicals has been using in workstation (Gao, et. al., 2018).
Washing equipments – The numbers of equipments which has been using in a month at
workstation will be its measuring methods.
Water supply – Water supply has a meter which will be considered as its measuring methods.
Energy supply – As like water supply, energy supply also has a meter to measure its usages.
Washing system – The energy supply which has been used for self service wands will be its
measuring methods.
Computing system – The numbers of computer systems along with the number of persons hired
for using the computers are considered as its measuring methods.

4. Complete a simple environmental monitoring activity by measuringthe daily usage of the
key resources for a period of at least five days. Record the daily amounts and totals in the
environmental monitoring table (attached). You will need to complete a separate table for
each team member you monitor.
