Sustainable Goals and Objectives
Objectives:
• To improve the environmental and social performance such as product
responsibility, labour practices as required by the framework of global reporting
initiatives.
• To enhance the recognition of company’s business in the community by maintaining
its goodwill and lawful image:

• Reducing the water consumption by 10% each year
• Reducing the energy consumption by 7% per year
• Conducting environmental audits at each store once per year
Scope: Australian Hardware’s policy scope covers not only its employees but also the
contractors to ensure that only those business practices are undertaken which are sustainable
in nature.
Sustainability principles: Following sustainability principles are required to be strictly
adopted at Australian Hardware while carrying out the business operations.

• Reduction of environmental risk: A risk management plan must be developed and
monitored to identify and control the risk of company’s operations on the
environment.
• Intergenerational fairness: It must be ensured that the use of natural resources such
as energy water fuels etc. must be made in such a way that such resources remains
available to serve the needs of future generation.

comply with all the laws and regulations in relation to business sustainability. During the
course of business we will adhere to the following laws and standards to achieve the
acceptable level of sustainability:
