AI Summary
This report addresses the critical aspects of managing team effectiveness within an organization, focusing on developing team cohesion, facilitating teamwork, and liaising with stakeholders. It details the modification of an Internet Use Policy, the application of communication skills in giving feedback, and the identification of issues such as difficulties in building trust online and integrating sales and marketing teams. Problem-solving skills are applied to address these issues, and strategies for encouraging team members to take responsibility are outlined. The report also covers adapting communication styles to build positive working relationships, modeling desired behaviors, and promoting collaboration through shared understanding of roles and responsibilities. Brainstorming techniques are employed to develop processes for addressing team concerns, and communication with line management and the team is documented through email correspondence. The report concludes with an analysis of stakeholder feedback and the implementation of improvements based on that feedback. Desklib provides this and many other solved assignments for students.

Section 2: Develop and facilitate team cohesion
Complete this section after the meeting.
Policies and procedures
How did you develop/
modify the Internet Use
Policy?
A policy defines a clear plan of actions and rules that the
company has to follow (Ashcroft, Bigger and Coates, 2021).
The internet usage policy concerns the transmission and
transactions of data through internet. As the company is
promoting digitalisation this itself makes the company to
adopt the internet policy and to avoid all the confusions in
the workplace. The policy was developed by doing the
following things: conducting a review on the current policy,
distinguishing between employees and department,
gaining visibility of the network traffic, working hand in
hand with other departments, performing policy's test
exercise, considering possible loopholes, considering the
consequences, involving the legal team and finally
announcing the policy and maintaining flexibility.
Develop team cohesion
What were the
communication skills you
applied when giving
feedback?
What are the issues,
concerns, problems
highlighted?
How did you help team
members identify issues?
While giving feed feedback I first listened and then took time to
analyse the situation in order to come up with the best solutions
possible (Jiang, Zheng, and Lu, 2021). I adopted verbal
communication at the time of giving feedback
The issues were highlighted were: difficulty in building trust
online, closing the deals and problems arising in the sales and
marketing team integration.
The team members identified the issue when there was a lack of
understanding observed in the wrong targeting of markets which
was done by the marketing department. Due to the wrong
targeting the leads were not potential enough and were wasting
the time of the sales team. It also came to notice, that many
relationships with customers requires a personal touch and this
was becoming a main reason why difficulties were coming in
closing the deals and building trust online.

How did you apply your
problem-solving skills?
How did you encouraging
team members to take
responsibility for team
activities?
I applied my problem solving skills by first: analysing the
factors which were contributing to the problem, second:
brainstorming and generating solutions, third: evaluating the
solutions, fourth: implementing the final plan and lastly fifth:
assessing the effectiveness of the solution (Tang, Vezzani, and
Eriksson, 2020).
I encouraged my team to effectively take responsibilities by
sharing a clear vision with them, assigning everyone clear but
interesting tasks and roles, rewarding the performances of every
individual in the team, pushing them towards social activities so
that they can connect more, developing an understanding
amongst the team members of how to deal with the problems as
they rise more and more and building team games to keep their
interest associated with the team (Sharma, 2019).
Facilitate teamwork
How did you adapt your
personal communication
style to build positive
working relationships?
Model desired behaviour
and practices
I have built positive relationships with the team by showing
them a willingness to listen to their problems every time and
anytime they come across an issue and then frame my words
into a valuable statement so that they can get a good solution or
support by me. It’s not just giving the solutions but here, I speak
from their perspective and needs, in order to make them feel a
sense of belonging.
Model desired practices and behaviour in the team comprise the
following (Wastling, Charnley and Moreno, 2018):
Being consistent
Meet the expectations to communicate
Transparency practices
Promoting integrity
Showing commitment

Being transparent
The stakeholders need to be
communicated with the accuracy and
transparency, as that is a key to
success of any organization. Here, the
efforts put in by the team and their
result should be communicated as
there is something which is coming in
the way of sales team. The team is
giving its best but the desired output
is not coming.
Applying feedback
What feedback did you receive
from the stakeholders?
How did you address their
concerns?
The feedback received from the
stakeholders is that the sales team is
doing a wonderful job and the results
are also good, but the issue which has
been addressed has some doing with
the proper lead generation. The leads
which are given to the team are not
potential enough to be converted into
sales and therefore, should be
changed and new leads should be
given for the purpose. The feedback
stated that marketing team will be
given a proper guide in order to target
the right markets so that it can be a
great help to the sales team and they
can achieve a desired outcome.
