MANAGING WORK PRIORITIES 2
Introduction
Self-monitoring is essential in our lives as it is the personality attribute that is used to measure an
individual's aptitude to fine-tune their behaviors to meet the external environment requirements
(Ferguson, 2016). There are several occasion where a person's functioning may not be proper
concerning understanding other peoples condition. Most of the employees in the firms or in
organizations' they are working in the making them stressed up when they are nearing deadlines.
Admittedly, I have deserted my workmates severally by not responding to some of their urgent
issues since I was worried about meeting the timelines of the tasks I have, yet the person who
sent me the job just needed some input data from me to enable him to sojourn ahead with his
work. Honestly, I was found of giving inappropriate responses to most of my colleagues who had
confronted me with issues of scientific uncertainties that always gave rise to some unwanted
arguments (Pornsakulvanich, 2018). Symbolically the management had done a lot by introducing
some new procedures or processes for projects which are being executed like reviews, and
documentation. At times I argued because I didn't give a listening ear or subscribe to most of the
rational thinking of managers and organization stakeholders (Budrevičiūtė, 2018). I can vividly
recall there was a time I was rocked with some trivial severe issues. However, I came to realize
that the problem was not that gross as I thought it was, the only issue is that I never listened to
the opinion of my colleagues and act accordingly.
Career pathway and career perspective.
The leadership skill that I established gradually during the time I was still an amateur was indeed
the cause of my current status in terms of career development. With a friend of mine who was
known as Peter, he partook a small enterprise that thrived about conscription consultancy. He

always tried to give some guidance on how the recruitment activities and the selection process
forever took place in various organizations'. That marked the beginning of my career, as it
improved my entire skills. Working with a data entry organization during my early career life
also imparted some skills in my career life, these skills were computer-based little did I know
that the same skills I had acquired from the data entry organization. Later on, become a turning
point in my career life when I started working with Peter in his firm. I worked with Peter for a
long duration of time, and I came to realize that each activity I learned was a realistic approach
that I had to implement in my future workplace. Honestly, most of my skills and knowledge were
becoming more vivid about the entrepreneurial perspectives at teenage.
That was one of my greatest achievement that I had to give consideration. The possible number
of years I spent in John's firm was around three years, and during the said years I was able to
know and understand my duties and responsibilities towards the company, this experience gave a
brief business operation insight that required a more significant HR department or section
(Kantamneni, 2018). Therefore, both communication and leadership skills were the backbone
behind my positive business journey. My team leader always encouraged me to know more
about the human resource department. Thus, the concerned activities do play a far-reaching role
in business enterprises. Selection of the right employee to be employed is significant as it helps
to locate the best person who is fit for the job. That is conducted through the evaluation using the
skills, knowledge, and abilities of the employee. All those operations were carried out by me;
with all those types of activities I engaged in, I was able to gain a lot of knowledge and
experience. I had the urge to build myself in terms of career development so most of the
activities I had learned from Peters firm. I had the urge to be my boss or sole proprietor. Later
on, I had to take the bull by its horns when I decided to start a project that shared the same

activities like the one I was engaged in. Currently, most of the things I had learned, I do apply
them in my business recruitment firm that I had to start at the age of twenty-seven. It was quite
evident that most of the knowledge and skills I had acquired helped me to manage both my
candidates and clients. My business became more successful due to the tremendous leadership
skills that demonstrated how effective I was.
It was like a dream because it was one of the journeys I began just as an amateur working as a
data entry clerk has made me become an intelligent entrepreneur. A successful business
enterprise as the one I run requires an individual to have the following: skills, education, and
experience are the basic things that play critical roles for a successful development life cycle
(Ray, 2017). There were several options that I was offered, but I was passionate about handling
different departments in the HR department and managing people at work. The interest and
passion I had, made me select this career path since all my skills and knowledge was channeled
towards this field.
The career path I chose that made me go back to my country due to the informed decision
making was an eye opener in my life. I became one of the highly esteemed consultants offering
recruitment consultations and also achieved a competitive edge (Wang, 2018). Most of my
projects succeeded gradually over the years. , and some of my partners who made have an urge
to starting a recruitment company.
Career aspiration
Being that this was just a small enterprise I had ventured in my early when I was still an amateur,
I had to be more patient to wait or better business opportunities to build up. Undeniably after
sometimes, I will sell my old business and indulge in a venture that will make me achieve a

satisfactory business opportunity that is worth it. The next move in my career was significant
essential in my life as it marked the real bondage. Becoming an Hr. Manager, who was my real
objective, was closely coming to be. My future aspiration to achieve my desired career was
going to be due to some of the additional opportunities I had when I underwent some course
training and also through various development programs. They have given me the admiration of
having the interest to complete my postgraduate degree. Therefore my strengths and weakness
can be identified by critical looking at those impetuses that inspired me during my career
development journey (David, (2017). At the end of the struggle will make me achieve my
desired life goals.

Indeed, most of the team members will be required to work relatively between 7.0 or 7.5hours as
per the business day timeframe. A specific example is when the team members will be required
to perform their duties from8.00am -5.00pm with an hour for taking their lunch or desired meal
(7.0 hours a day). Due to the emergence of any unexpected issues, the work time frame or
schedule may be changed or altered to meet the requirements and the wishes of all the team
members. Putting in place flexible plans that will enable every individual to work with ease.
Both the manager and the team members report from Monday to Wednesday to accomplish some
tasks which form the core objective of the firm. The first task which both the team members and
the employees will engage . Is how they will build an appropriate company profile or image, the
next job will be, how will employees be involved in decision making by the senior level
managers of the company, establishment of well-organized organization culture, and how will
the firm adopt new leadership approaches and styles. Therefore, the first task that will be
accomplished by the team as per the scheduled time that will be on 5th June 2019 as from 8.00am
to5.00pm will be the establishment of well-organized organization culture. That will be later on
followed by operative concentration of decision making on the following day, and last, on a
Wednesday the team members will be required to discuss and undertake company profiles
recognition. I had around three teams that I had assigned some tasks to perform the first task
which was the establishment of organizational culture was allocated to the first team, while the
second, and third tasks respectively were assigned to group two, three, and four. Ball, the teams,
had to put a lot of concentration on several tasks that they were allocated.

Indeed, groups perform differently depending on the character traits of the individuals in a group.
Some people tend to perform well when put to work together with their colleagues, while other
people may not perform well. If they put both works together with other people in the group
leading to poor group performance (Al Mehrzi, 2016). People do have different character traits in
their lives, and when forming groups that issue should be given significant consideration to
ensure maximum productivity when the manager will be on the quest of reallocating some of the
tasks he or she had assigned his team members. It will be a requirement that he will look at the
urgency of the job, the skills, and knowledge needed to perform the task, the resources required
to accomplish the task, and the character trait of the group members that the assignment or the
job has been allocated to them (Rego, 2019). The performance of a group or individuals in a
group is always determined by the compatibility of the character traits of members of the group
or team. Therefore for any organization which wants to undertake any task, it is upon its team
members to pay detail attention to those issues. Without paying attention to the proper allocation
of responsibilities to individual team members in an organization, the company or the

organization will incur a lot of wastes in terms of resource and time which are always very
essential in running most of the organization in the contemporary world (Yalabik, (2015).
Misallocation of errands in an organization will lead to poor performance and lack of mutual
understanding among the team members in a company. Apart from that misallocation of tasks
may demoralize team members as you may get they have been assigned or allocated a job that
they have no know how.
Indeed, work-life balance entails disguising workplace constrain with the daily anxiety of
friends, family, and self. In the contemporary world, most of the employees would like to have
significant control over their entire lives, and also a primary say in the edifice of their work. It is
the most important aspect or feature of a healthy working environment. Maintaining an
appropriate work balance among employees who have been employed by some companies helps
employees to reduce stress, and also to prevent more cases of victims who have burnt out in their
workstations. One of the most common diseases related to the workplace is chronic stress,
which needs to be eradicated at all cost. Stress management is vital to all workers or employees
as it may lead to reduced or low esteem among the affected employee, it can also lead to the low
level of concentration among employees hence leading to flat rate of productivity.
All in all, employees need to have both a good health condition and a conducive working
environment and accomplishable tasks (Waters, 2018). Stress does affect the work performance
of employees, pressure levels, or stress do vary from one person the other depending on an
individual’s capabilities. Another prominent example is that it hurts job performance by the
employee. These conditions are associated with employees or workers developing a resentful
attitude towards the organization or the company they are working for and also result to
employees not accomplishing tasks in time making them carry some of the duty to their home.

There are some common signs and symptoms that those employees or workers under stress will
show are: behavioral symptoms like social isolation, being less friendly, and becoming irritable,
physiological signs such as migraines, raised blood pressures, and muscles spasms,
psychological symptoms like anxiety, workplace sickness, and tension. The legislation which
governs the severe issues in an organization is referred to us the Health and safety act. Notably,
this is the act that creates the legal bondage to the employers to ensure that they provide the
employees with a flexible and conducive working environment that takes detailed consideration
to the health, welfare, and the safety of employees (Hofmann, 2017).
It is the procedure that is premeditated to augment the bibliophiles' to take accountability for
their erudition, and development needs to meet professional, personal, objectives as well as
organizational goals. Both the professional and personal skills aid the learners to become more
competent in the modest business arena in the world and unremitting as experienced
professional. That will create a room for the learners to adopt the required skills and cultivate the
urge to execute duties effectively. Therefore it is a responsibility bestowed upon the managers to
develop their professional and personal development plans to attain the experiences and
knowledge to cope up with changing and competitive business world. Before the implementation
process, a skill audit is always done to realize or know the professional and the personal skills
needed in the career development process. The audit process also helps in the identification of
various areas that has weakness and the strengths for further improvements. Before
implementation, it is necessary that an individual needs define his or her own goals. Whether
they are short term or long term, an individual needs to prioritize his or her task as per the legend
priority. An individual also needs to set up the deadline of talk completion giving priority to
those tasks which are urgent and essential, later is useful to understand our strengths and
