1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development, and the transferable
skills
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal learning and
development
Personal learning and development refers to process of continual intellectual
improvement across one's lifetime. This aids an individual in achieving all the
objectives they set out to achieve and being successful in professional and personal
sphere. With assistance of this exercise I can lead a fruitful life,be confident in my
ventures and increase my professional quality to attract prospective employers.
Various needs of mine such as, need for job security, self esteem and pride can be
fulfilled by way of personal learning and development. These needs getting improved
will mean I will be able of improve my standard of living. Learning and development
sessions provide me necessary confidence to deal with problems in my life. While I
attend learning and development session I have come to realize that I don't suffer
from indecision anymore. Moreover I have enhanced variety of abilities such as
communicative abilities, social ability, critical thinking ability, quicker acclimatizing
ability, managing ability and other related abilities which have empowered me to
enhance my performance in every sphere of life.(Jain, 2018) The sessions have
helped me conjure the ability to set higher goals for future and given me confidence
to be able to achieve them. Additionally it has assisted me in boosting morale of my
peers and colleagues. Personal learning and development has added values in my
life of integrity. I am now able to fully realize my full potential while being able to
quickly overcome any sort of crisis which I encounter.
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed by
attending this module
Transferable skills are defined as abilities which can be utilized by me to
execute obligations in different field which aids me in growing and developing
professionally and personally. My transferable skills have been matured while I
attended this module and have assisted me to achieve all the milestones in an
efficient manner. Some skills which I have honed in during this particular module are
crisis management, team dynamics, problem solving, and active listening.( Sánchez-
López,2021)These skills help me to navigate difficulties encounter at academic,
professional and personal level, As the nature of these skills are transferable to other

spheres of life. These particular skills have assisted me in sharing ideas and data in
an effective manner so that I can achieve my goals. I have learned through team
working dynamics that a diversified group with regard to knowledge and skill having
mutual respect can achieve tasks easily. Through communicative abilities I have
learned that if I evolve my active listening skills I can improve my performance as I
won't be asking for input to be given repeatedly. (Baby, Gale, and Swain, 2018).This
means I ma efficiently coordinating with my team to optimize my performance. The
confidence which I have mustered through these sessions has enhanced my
personality. With the help of these skills I can convincingly say to my prospective
employer that I am right for the job even though I might have little experience.
(Jackson,Michelson,and Munir, 2022)These skills have helped me in efficiently
completing projects assigned to me before the submission date.
1.3 Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies, personal life and
the workplace
Any professional looking to get employed needs to develop certain skills. I am
looking to develop various skills which will assists me in professional as well as
personal sphere. During my studies I have been able to evolve many skills such as
communicative skills and social skills. While I have been able to develop new skills
such as presentation skills. I would like to develop my skill regarding taking initiative
it entails taking preemptive steps to tackle a situation which has not been presented
top me, as I have often felt that I lack in taking initiative. This shall help me
distinguishing myself from my peers so I am able to quickly climb the corporate
ladder. Moreover as technology has become essential part of modern business I
would like to develop my technological skills so that I don't face any problems while
undertaking any task which is assigned to me at work. During my academic time I
have to submit various reports and research papers in a limited time, the skill of self
management could be of tremendous use to me, and I would like to evolve my self
managing skills in order to priorities my tasks and tackle any situation thrown at me
head on. (Janakiraman,2018)With self management can achieve crucial equilibrium
in work and personal life obligations. Evolving self management skills would entail
achieving set objectives well before their deadline is up, Which means I can use
remaining time in order to better myself such as reading books and playing outdoor
games. I would also like to develop my leadership skills to have better employment
outcomes in future. All these goals together will clarify my vision for future and I
