Major strategic decisions made during the six-round BSG simulation
There were Various Kinds of strategic decisions that were taken during the game based
upon current situation and results of previous rounds. Some of the main types of strategic
decisions that were taken during the BSG simulation game are as follows:
Round 1: In first round company had focused upon producing 44 percent of new pair of footwear
and used six sigma and TQM method for management of high quality of products developed by
them company/ but this production and quality management of products developed were done
only in North America Facility and Asia- Pacific faculty. Expenditure upon different types of
marketing was done. This directly related to strategic objectives of the organization which was
to enhance sales of their organization. Outcome of celebrity endorsement was that it helped in
enhancement of sales of organization
Round 2: In second year company took decision of increasing retail price of products developed
and took decision of not providing free shipping to the customers. This affected their sales
because their retail price of products was a bit higher from their competitors and some of them
even provided free shipping to their customers. Not only this in fact in Latin America faculty
company took decision of constructing additional space. Expenditure upon Celebrity
Endorsements was done to increase overall sales. it was directly related to strategic objective
which was to enhance sales and profitability. Outcome of this decision was increasing production
and enhanced sales.
Round 3: In third year company took decision of purchasing new equipment’s in Latin America
Faculty. This decision was taken on the basis of main decision taken by the company in previous
year of expanding additional space for working. it was directly related to strategic objective
which was to expand overall production of increased profitability. Purchasing new equipment’s

Round 4: in this year company took decision of selling some equipment’s in Asia- Pacific faculty
