Leadership communication: course reflection
This task is intended to describe critical reflection about leadership communication so that it
can highlight how the learner has achieved the learning from this course for enhancing the
knowledge. For improving my understanding of leadership communication, I was highly
excited because I think that this skill can help me in securing a better position in my future
organization. Due to this reason, I was fully engaged with the course contents and with other
students. This active engagement increased the learning efficiencies of mine. For developing
a better understanding of leadership communication, I was associated with discussing
different vital facts and ideas about leadership communication with other students so that it
can help us in improving our knowledge. This group discussion session has made me
understand that leadership communication is the messages from leader which are rooted in
the culture and values of an organization that has a significant level of importance to the key
stakeholders. For leadership communication, the message needs to be developed in the way
so that it can reflect the culture, vision and mission of a particular organization (Mikkelson,
York & Arritola, 2015). During conducting the course, I have encountered that group
discussion always improves the efficiencies of the learning. Therefore, I have decided that in
every future course, I will conduct a group discussion session with friends.
In the course, the knowledge that I have found most useful is the correct, precise and
professional communication for a variety of purposes. I have identified this knowledge as the
most helpful because it not only enhances the leadership communication of a person, but it
also helps an individual in improving their ability to communicate which increases the
employability skills that can be helpful for them in getting a job in any reputable
organization. The knowledge that I have identified least useful is describing the business case
for ensuring that oral and written communication can be accurate, timely and effective. The
main reason behind it is that I do not think that it is highly essential to achieve knowledge
about the previous application of leadership communication skill.
Leaders are one of the most influential people in an organization who is associated with
encouraging or influencing employees with the help of their speech so that they can perform
their job with more efficiencies (Schneider et al. 2015). For this reason, any future leader
needs to develop their oral or written communication skill in that way so that it can motivate
other people in an effective way (Ruben & Gigliotti, 2016). I need to develop my oral and
written communication in that way so that I can encourage another person.

Leadership communication: course reflection
Conduction of the course has motivated me in developing oral and written communication in
that way so that it can influence others. The main reason behind it is leadership
communication skills always help a leader in developing a message so that it can affect others
to perform a particular work (Boies, Fiset & Gill, 2015). After getting a brief knowledge
about the specific leadership communication skill, I have developed a little knowledge of
how a person can influence other people with the help of their communication skills.
This course has helped me in gathering an extensive level of knowledge about the leadership
communication; therefore, I can say that this course can be helpful for me in my future
organization to secure the desired position of mine.
