Introduction
Globalisation can be defined as the procedure in which various organisations, people and
governments all over the world are interacting and integrating with each other. Globalisation has
completely transformed the face of the word as it has affected the way of operation of the firms
and governments. The tastes and demands of people have changed with the advent of
globalisation that has shifted the aims and objectives of the organisations as well. The
organisation Amazon has evolved and attained great heights of success due to globalisation, as it
has been able to provide its products and services to people worldwide through its online
platform at a reasonable rate.
Project Aim
The aim of the project is find out the various effect of globalisation on various departments like
marketing, human resource, operations department of the organisation Amazon such that the
issues it is facing can be figured out, and proper strategies can be devised in order to resolve
them.
Project objectives
The objectives that have been developed with respect to the business project have been listed
below:
 To comprehend various effects of globalisation like cultural, economical and ethical effect on
various organisations
 To understand the effect of globalisation on various business functions of Amazon

Project Scope statement
The scope of the project can be segmented into two parts namely, included scope and excluded
scope.
 Included scope
The research has been carried out in order to find out the effect of globalisation on various
business functions of Amazon, UK. The effect of globalisation on human resource, operation and
marketing department of the organisation Amazon, UK has been investigated by collecting data
from various resources. The researcher will make sure that the project is completed within the
stipulated time and the budget that is estimated. The positive as well as negative effect of
globalisation on various business functions of Amazon, UK has been covered in this business
project.
 Excluded scope
The effect of globalisation on various business functions of Amazon, UK has been covered in
this project however the impact of globalisation on various departments of Amazon in other
places, locations or countries have not been covered in this project. Therefore, the data collected
in order to conduct the investigation is not sufficient for other branches of Amazon in other
countries as the data collected is only concerned with the activities and the effect of globalisation

on Amazon situated in the United Kingdom. Thus, it can be stated that the investigation
conducted and the data collected for the investigation is applicable only for Amazon, UK and
cannot be used to conclude for other branches of the United Kingdom.
Resource management
In order to accomplish the project, various resources are required so that every section or part of
the project can be executed effectively. The resources that are required in order to accomplish the
project are as follows:
 Material resource: Various materials need to be gathered or collected for the project such
that the investigation can be carried out properly. The materials that need to be collected
include notebooks, computers, printers, secondary books, stationary objects, and internet
connection (Kerzner, 2017).
 Human Resource: Human resource is of utmost importance in order to conduct the research
so that every activity of the research project can be conducted efficiently without much
hassle (Meredith et al., 2017). It is not possible for a single person to conduct a research
therefore a team is required in order to investigate the topic and achieve the objectives of the
project so that various activities that needs to be conducted can be performed aptly.
 Financial Resources: The expenditure that has to be made in order to carry out a project is
the financial resources that are required for it to be accomplished (Nicholas, and Steyn,
2017). In order to complete the project on the topic selected a budget of £ 5900 is required so
that the requirements of the project can be met.
