INTRODUCTION
Project management encompasses the role to carry out systematic planning and
management of organisation resources, task as well as event in order to successfully accomplish
the preparation of objective (Burke, 2013). To better define the report the students of Bucks
Student Union will carry out project management under which project manager is responsible to
effectively host musical festival at local town hall for the Alumni. This report cover topics like
compare and contrast different project management methodologies and describe its application
for carrying out global project. Develop network diagram which represent the relationship
between different activities. Prepare stakeholder analysis and carry for risk analysis for music
festival.

The role of project management methodologies is to basically provide the
infrastructure or blueprint on the basis of which different tasks associated with global project act
are carried out. As global project whether it is relation to music or dance concert is carried out at
large scale due to which it require huge involvement of resources, funds and manpower. In
addition to that, the aim of managing comprehensive workflow via opting diverse project
management methodologies is to effectively structure internal activities in order to successfully
implement activities for global project (Meredith, Mantel Jr and Shafer, 2017). Thus, being
critical successful factor it mitigate the chances of risk by successfully executing the policies
management team. The explantation of some of the methodologies to effectively carry out global

Critical path analysis is an effective technique of project management that helps to map
out diverse task to be performed within stipulated time frame in order to successfully complete
specific project. Bases on above figure after carrying activity one and two which is Budget
approval and Hire publicity Director Bucks student union can either perform task 4 (Hire place
for auditions) or 5 (Advertising to hire cast and crew). This is further carried forward by task 10,
21 and 22 which is Cast Rehearsal, dress rehearsal and performance respectively.
TASK 3
Undertake stakeholder analysis for the project and identify internal and external stakeholders
according to interest and power. Develop Work Breakdown structure for music festival
Stakeholder management matrix: This framework is used by Bucks student union to
analyse the role of project stakeholders in terms to perform the actions and align task to attain
overall objective and carry out actions successfully (Heldman, 2018). It represent the role of
different stakeholders on the basis of their interest and power level to carry out project
successfully.

Further, they have power to weaken whole project once seemed out certain issues (Fuller and et.
al., 2017).
Low power but High interest: It involves the participation of employees, staff or the
students of Bucks union as their inclusive efforts helps in building out whole project
successfully.

plays a powerful role in terms to affect the functioning of whole project in future.

development team is not able to
perform the task within stipulated time
frame and leads to high impact on
event. To mitigate this risk emphasize
is given on time management
strategies that help to manage the
priorities of activities, allocate
desirable time interval for successful
accomplishment of musical festival
(Besner and Hobbs, 2012).
Loss of support 2/5 4/5 Lack of support from external

effectively run the project and
maintain systematic performance. This
can majorly affect the performance for
Alumni. To control such activity
emphasize is given on supplier supply
relationship so that all quality material
is gained by union to maintain

such activity can only be managed by
delaying the programme by
anticipating the environment and
exploring reliable reports.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been determined that the role of project manager is to
incorporate different activities and use necessary techniques or methodology in order to initiate
and control the particular event or programme successfully. To effective carry out the event it is
the responsibility of project manager to use the effective project management methodology in
order to derive out best possible result. Further, risk is analysed and mitigate by using effective
strategy and derive out best possible result.
