OVERVIEW-
Bulgarian Rose Oil is the fragranced oil that is being extracted form the flowers of Rosa
damascena shrub that are grown in the rose valley in central Bulgaria. The oil is later sold to the
perfume manufacturers across the world on the basis of thousands of euros per kilogram. It is the
most exported element from Bulgaria and contains its production of 70% of the total rose oil in
the world is being extracted by Bulgaria. This topic is being chosen to understand and acquire
depth knowledge for the importance, value and the worth of this oil in the world as being the
expensive and rarest element in the world.
AIM-
To identify the opportunities and problems in context with Bulgarian Rose Oil production and
marketing activities.
Objectives-
1. To study the marketing and production process of Bulgarian Rose Oil.
2. To understand the challenges and problems faced in the production and marketing
process of rose oil.
3. To identify the opportunities related to the marketing activities of Bulgarian rose oil.
4. Provide recommendation for the modifications and change in the production process and
marketing strategies for Bulgarian Rose Oil.
Scope-
It can be observed that there are only 2 countries and few regions for the cultivation and
climatic condition being essential to produce this rose oil. Hence, the research will denote the
production process and techniques used for cultivation and extraction as well as in what
conditions it can be cultivated, to other researchers and businesses who look forward to enter this

sector. The research will also provide the information to government regarding the value of this
rare element, its extraction as well as its marketing strategies all over the world. Overall this
research will help to understand the business of Bulgarian Rose oil in detail. The research will
also provide guidelines for both government and different firms related to the growth of this
Bulgarian rose oil in international markets.
Resources and cost considerations-
Resources that will be utilized such as more of financial resources to collect the data
from different industries. The resources list will also include the secondary sources such as
books and journals in relation to the information regarding Bulgarian Rose Oil. Other resources
such as stationary, laptops and other equipment will be utilized which will complete the process
of research systematically.

The main risks that will be covered in this project are mainly related to the reliability of
the data. The data availability is difficult in terms of facts and figures of the oil production. There
is limited access to the websites which contains the actual data for the production. The marketing
strategies of various companies are not disclosed which will make it a problematic task of
discovering the specific requirements of this research project. The data that has to be collected
from secondary sources is not sufficient which will delay in further results and incur more

spending on the data collection. Most of the time will be utilized in gathering this data related to
the production and marketing cost of Bulgarian Rose oil by various industries.
