INTRODUCTION
An effective organisational performance plays an important role in every business which
helps them to achieve their goals and objectives. The following individual report is about BUNI
Travel which is a local travel agent in Bolton(Ashdown, 2018). The report describes about
different tools and techniques for improving organisational performance along with the
employee wellbeing in improving motivation and performance. It also includes the PESTLE
analysis for the organisation.

1. Analysing different types of tools and techniques that helps in improving organisational
performance
Performance management refers to a process of establishing a motivated environment in
an organisation which helps their managers and employees to review themselves and perform
effectively for achieving the common goals. It is important for all type of companies to follow
performance management in their organisation because it assist them produce highly skilled and
efficient workforce for their organisation. It also helps them to become more successful as well
as gain competitive advantages (Helmold and Samara, 2019). There are many tools and
techniques exist which help companies in order to improve their organisational performance. In
respect of BUNI Travel, the tools and techniques that helps its Human Resources manager are
described below:
Performance Appraisals- It refers to one of the most important tools that help company
to improve its organisational performance. The main aim of this tool is to combine the
individuals' own goals with the common organisational goals. In order to get effective output by
using it in the organisation, it is important for the organisation to construct fair and honest
appraisal process in order to make employees motivated for performing their task in effectual

in the organisation?. It provide detailed assessment of the performance of each and every
employees of the organisation in order to get know who is performing effectively in the

manager to get know which employees need training and development in order to make them

current level of the organisation's performance in order to analyse that theirs organisation has

Personal development plans (PDP)- It refers to an efficiently and expertly well
designed actions plan according to the needs, wants and awareness of the particular actions for
supporting organisational and personal development. This will mainly used to identify different
kinds of training and development needed by the employees in order to improve their
performance and helps in achieving the goals in more efficient manner. A human resources
management of BUNI Travel used this tools for fulfilling the needs and wants of their employees
in order to improve their skills which also helps in improving the organisational performance.
Reward and Recognition Programs- This describes that, it is important for all the
company to praised and reward its excellent performance in order to make their employees
highly motivated for achieving organisational goals and objectives. The unrecognised and
unrewarded performance of employees makes them feel demotivated which also affects the
overall organisational performance (Pollitt, 2018). Rewards and recognition programs plays a
vital role in the improvement of organisational performance which makes human resource
manager of the company to provides effective rewards to their effective performing employees.

employees are one who is well rested, happy, well fed and their physical and emotional needs are
fulfil effectively. This implies that the employees only can give their best in their performance
when their health is good. In account of BUNI Travel, the role of employee well-being for
improving their organisational performance are described below:
For keeping employees loyal to their company- The employees who get effective
health perks in their organisation which includes comprehensive health plan or organisation
nutrition programs makes them to maintain their health and perform their task in more
efficacious manner (Gupta and Wales, 2017). These health perks helps in appreciating their

healthy perks in their organisation which create more competition in among the candidates. This
will make company to get opportunity to recruit and select highly skilled employees because
