INTRODUCTION
Every company have to monitor and evaluate their organisational performance on regular basis
to identify that the company is going in a right direction or not to achieve their objectives. It is
for them to make their employees happy and satisfied so that they will perform better in the
organisation (Gawankar, Gunasekaran and Kamble, 2020). A positive mind of thoughts and good
behaviour employees always contribute effective performance in the organisation. The following
file covers tools and techniques which will help to improve organisational performance, role of
employee well-being in improving motivation and performance and PESTEL analysis. This
report is done on the basis of case study related to BUNI travels which is having small workforce
and it is a local travel agent situated in Bolton. Here, company changes their HR manager and
new manager is suggested to maintain their working environment by their different actions.
MAIN BODY
What tools and techniques will help improve organisational performance
It is very essential for every organization to manage their workforce perfectly to achieve their set
targets. Some of the importance of effective people management at Buni travels are given below-
Effectively increase in productivity and profitability- When a organisation manage
their workforce effectively then their workforce perform well to increase their overall
productivity and profitability for the benefit of organisation (Abiodun, 2021). In context
of Buni travels, their workforce will attract more travels for using their travelling
facilities in case they are managed well according to their skills and talents. This will help
them to increase their productivity and in case productivity will increase then their
profitability will also increase.
Better reputation for the organisation- When a organisation manage their employees
well and maintain their organisational culture effectively then they will get advantage to
gain their brand reputation in the market (Murphy, 2019). In context of Buni travels, their
reputation will get increased in the market because of no disputes and mismanagement of
employees in their organisation.

Clarification of objective, mission and vision- It is important to manage employees
effectively because a well manageable workforce have clear vision and mission of
company and they are well aware about the direction to achieve their set goals (de

Few techniques for performance management in Buni travels are given below-
Performance appraisal technique- This is the most effective and easy technique which
is done by most of the organisations. In context of Buni Travels, their new manager must
focus on conducting this technique fair and honest. New HR manager must appreciate
those employees who are performing well and also give them monetary benefits for their
good performance for increasing their motivation to maintain their good performance for
longer period of time to get more monetary benefits. For the employees who perform bad
in the organisation must sent for training sessions and here, manager must make them
clear that their bad performance not only impact organisation but it also impact bad upon
their personal goals (Eveline and et. al., 2019). This will help Buni travels to manage the
performance of employees perfectly.
360 Degree feedback- This is a kind of feedback of employees which include overall
performance measurement of a employee (Verhoest and Wynen, 2018). Here, managers
ask the collogues, suppliers, customers and many other people who have direct
communication with the employees to understand their performance at each level of
work. All feedback are taken serious by the manager and then the manager can analyse
the actual performance of their employees within the organisation. This technique helps
to analyse the employees performance as well as their behaviour with their supervisor
and colleagues. In context of Buni travels, their new HR manager can prepare the report
on their employees performance by consulting to suppliers, customers, collogues and
many others who know that employee well. Manger must have a face- to face
communication with that employee after having their 360 degree feedback to make them
understand that how they can improve their performance.
Personal/Professional development plans- This is the technique which help the
employees to improve their performance (DeNisi and Murphy, 2017). Here, managers set
a target for employees and set the deadline to achieve that target. After the deadline,

mental health of employees, professional development and many others. Some of the well-being
activities which must followed by Buni travels to develop motivation and good performance of
their employees are given below-
Mental and Physical health of employees- It is essential for HR manager to focus on
mental and physical health of employees. If employees are physically healthy then they can work
effectively without taking sick leaves (Poulsen and Ipsen, 2017). Maximum sick leaves of
company from their employees will impact their productivity. On the other hand, maintaining a
good mental health of employees also help the company to provide good ideas to achieve their
organisational goal and innovative skill of employees will also help to provide ideas for
organisational growth. In context of Buni travels if they make concerns and actions to maintain
their employees mental and physical health appropriately then their employees will feel
motivated and their skills will enhanced to perform well.
