output and results of the organization. This report will cover in detail the different tools and
techniques that are available for an organization to improve its performance which can help them

Tools and techniques that help improve organizational performance:
When the management of any organization performs well it helps the organisation to grow and
achieve success in the market amongst the competitors for a longer period of time. There are
several types of tools and techniques that BUNI travels can use so that its organizational
performance can improve: 360 degree feedback- In this process feedback is given on the performance through
evaluation by the superiors, the colleagues and the consumers on a timely basis. This
helps the organisation to have an understanding and analysis about the management
where they can determine if the management understands the employees or the
employees understand the company(Fahrenkopf, Guo and Argote, 2020). On a simple
note, this tool provides answer on contrasting questions. Measurement of an individual's
performance is based on the reviews that are given by the head and managers of different
departments, consumers, suppliers, etc. The managers tally the results of these in a
confidential manner and then present it to the employees. Thus, this tool is handy to train
the employees. The performance of the organization improves when feedback is taken
from different people not just from internal managers. It helps to reduce the

communication gap by giving an understanding of personality to the individual which in
turn leads to their participation in the development of the organization. Management by Objectives- It is a type of tool that helps in the strategic management of
the organization so that it can clearly define its goals and objectives which can help
improve the performance of the organization because they are agreed by all the
employees and management(Hidayah, Dewi and Listiowati, 2020). Management by
objectives states that objectives in terms of both quantitative and qualitative must be
clearly stated, defined and agreed by the different levels of management in the
organisation. This tool focuses more on the output and results rather than on the activities
that are comprised under the organizational objectives so that performance of the
organisation can improve. The primary idea behind this technique is that all objectives
that relate to the firm and individuals shall be accomplished by the organization. It helps
to boost the morale of the employees in the organization so that they get motivated to
work hard so that organisational performance can improve. It thus measures individual
performance and helps to make a comparison of their performance with the set standards
of the organization.
Performance appraisal- It is most popular and widely used tool for performance
improvement among the different types of industry and sectors. This process comprises
measurement of employee performance that is usually carried out by the managers in
relation to the skills, knowledge that they possess about a task, etc. This tool lays down
the different qualities possessed by the employees along with their competency level so
that organisational development can also help in their personal development. With
respect to BUNI travels, there is a requirement of a performance appraisal system which
must be strong so that it can provide ease to the managers that they place right people at
right profile while also ensuring productivity growth of an individual. The process of
appraisal must be honest and fair so that it is felt the same way by the employees and
must be carried out on a regular basis in the organisation(Jordão, Novas and Gupta,
2019). Proper use of performance appraisal tool can prove to be great source of
motivation so that individuals goals are well structured and are in line with organisational
objectives which can lead to good performance of organization.
