Introduction
This is a research report based on Bush fire management where I have to deeply explain about
the causes and their mitigation. Improper management of wires near the trees or improper
management of vegetation near the power lines results in bushfire when a thunderstorm
occurs. Means trees near the power line should not be tolerated or where the branch of the
tress touches with cable. In area where people live, the power lines should be underground.
Focusing on people awareness by issuing warning on whether conditions can help to prevent
these kinds of bush fire. This is the serious case where early detection is very compulsory. Now
we are going to discuss about the bush fire including about the causes and the proper
management to overcome from. The goal of this assessment is to provide detail description
about prevention of bushfire by knowing about emergency services, government department
who deals with it and increasing community awareness about prevention of bushfire.

Bush Fire
In general terms, bush fire is a condition under which trees near the high tension wire or cable
located touches and start fire. This condition can easily be happen during thunderstorm
because trees near the open cable or high tension wire touches results in fire. With change of
the climate superimposed for the trend and chances for bushfire increases. In a research it is
found that nearly 45000-60000 condition of bushfire occurs in Australia every year and approx
80% is causes by humans.
The occurrence of bushfire is just because of climate change or because of human involvement.
Bush fire is a frequent event that occurs in warmer months because Australia becomes very hot
in dry climate. Every year this type of fire highly effects on large amount of areas. Apart all of
this it damage high amount of property and also human life, for thousand of year Australian
farmer uses fire to foster the grassland for hunting purpose or to clean the field for farming.
The firestorms that impact on ecosystem also damage the living things. Bushfire in Australia
normally defined as unconditional and uncontrolled fire burning in grass land, bush or forest
area. Depending upon the area it is classified into two categories as first one is mountain area
and other one is field area.
Mountain Area Fire- The fire in hilly area or area where forest exist where land cannot
be accessible easily and not suitable for agriculture. People apply deforestation on this

area every year on large scale for farming purpose but in some cases it becomes
uncontrolled.
Flat Area Fire- Fire in grassland that is done by human being for farming purpose move
quickly in whole grass land because of wind. It becomes uncontrolled because of
flatness and because of area size.
Natural- When the tree touches with the cable because of the thunderstorm generate
fire damages human being, animals and property too.
All these condition raise because of involvement of human kind whether it is directly or
indirectly.

Causes of Bush Fire
The most probable and danger session for bush fire depends upon the climate and country like
it becomes very danger in southern Australia in summer season. In New South Wales and
Queensland it becomes highly danger in spring season.
The amount of dry leaves, grassland and dead branches of trees can easily burnt and should be
removed from the houses. Spark material, huge number of green branches that touches with
cable can also cause for bushfire because it can cause big problem for people living area. It
burns houses, fill smokes and causes death.
To better know about the causes of bushfire first it is very important to perform some field
investigation. So I have performed house hold interview, interview with expert and analysis
over the bush fire recently happened.
I have conducted an interview program over the group of 10 people and ask some general
questions like, what is the most recent bush fire occur near you. What you have observe about
the cause and what you can do if you know about the reason before occurrence of bush fire.
Same question is repeated for the expert and found that the in most cases people didn’t
complaint about the place where the bush fire condition exists.
This condition when a fire catch quickly and occupy large area, called bush fire generally
happened in southern Australia as well as South Wale. The chance of bush fire becomes higher

when climate change like spring or dry. When climate is dry then dry fuel catches fire quickly
and when climate is spring then fire catch because of touches of trees with electricity cable.
This condition occurs because of human involvement directly or indirectly or because of nature.
Improper management of wires near the trees or improper management of vegetation near the

Approach to prevent from Bush Fire
The fire which becomes uncontrolled called bush fire is a condition that occurs in dry climate or
in spring season in Australia. To live in grass land or for farming, people always do the activity of
bush fire, apart this light storm, volcano fire all these kinds of fire catch fire more quickly
because of improper management of dry leaves, dry branches of trees and less awareness
about the bush fire causes. It is very important to know about the causes and better prevention
of bush fire before happening of any unconditional accident because of bushfire. For the most
part mean that overwhelming misfortunes especially human life are once in a while
experienced. Woods fires then again frequently obliterate a more prominent number of homes
that outskirt bushland zones, coming about in bigger misfortunes of human life and property.
Australia's most destroying bushfires have happened where they have seethed through the
thick eucalypt woods in the southeast of the mainland.
Bushfire Prevention Strategies
Any kind of raw material like dry leaves, dry branches or grassland catch fire quickly without
presence of any fuel because of small flame that is caused by nature or human being. Once the
fire start it depends on the factors like size of fuel, weather or fuel moisture.
The prevention of bush fire categories in three form such as:
Land Management
The land management strategies become most favorable in:
Reducing the amount of fuel in land or in forest that can catch fire quickly.
Slowing the bush fire for some moment.
Document Page
Create easier access route where the fire control van can reach easily.
Not do only the fuel reduction process but also take a step to stop the fire that can rise in
future. Land management process of prevention also includes community based steps. The
human being who lives in village or in cities should understand their responsibilities for
them and also for their neighbor.
Building Management
Building management for prevention from bushfire includes construction of building with
proper sort-circuit management and all the wire should be pipelined. In some places the
local government also make rule for building houses to prevent from bushfire. This step not
only minimizes the chance of bushfire but also help to reduce the chance of losing human
life.
Community Awareness
In most cases, involvement of human kind causes the bushfire so education about
prevention can control this. Like inform government authorities when they see any tree
branch touches to cable. Inform the local officer about the houses who didn’t follow rules of
government while they building house. Use of high quality cable and enforcing to use
underground cable electrification can reduce huge number of chances of bushfire.

Conclusion
I have successfully completed an assessment of research paper creation based on Bushfire
prevention. To effectively complete this research paper I have perform online resource analysis
because before performing this assessment I didn’t have vast knowledge about Bushfire
prevention. I have first researched about that and then discuss on several facts with my
colleagues. After successful completion now I can surely elaborate what is Bushfire prevention
including what is it and how it can get prevent.
