Two industries that would be put into comparison in this section for competitive industry
analysis would be the information technology industry and the construction industry.
Main Features
Information Technology Industry: The information technology industry is one of the
most exponentially evolving industries in the 21st century. It is an increasing high contribution
for the economic growth all over the world in every country it has been set up. From an
international perspective it can be said that this industry has become one of the largest pillar of
the economics in any country around the world and this is one of the fastest growing industries.
There are various classifications of the information technology industries which can be classified
with the theory of knowledge industries. Industry is more or less related to the increasingly
prominent scientific and technological development and therefore the information industry is
called a 3C industry in other countries. Computers, electronics and communication equipment
and high speed internet network belong to the hardware part of the information technology
industries, whereas on the other hand, the publishing of news and books, post and
telecommunication, advertising systems, integration, software development and others belong to
the software side of the information technology industry. Television and telephone have mostly
resulted in the increasing popularity of two computers and this was the first step in the
information industry in witnessing a social progress. It was during this time that internet
technology and developed rapidly and there was a quick advancement in portals, search engines
in instant messages. All the inventions related to the information acquisition stage and this form
the main features of Information Technology industry. The way by which they had been

Information Technology was closely related to the development of Science and Technology.

technology and were at the receiving end of the industry.
Construction Industry: The construction industry forms one of the most significant
roles in evolving the economy of any country. This is characterized by Extreme level of
competition and complex operations with conditions including higher risk factors as well as well
informed clients. Competitive bidding system within the construction industry is one of the
factors that are based on extreme lowest price but it's too much higher bargaining power to the

quality.

Construction Industry: The technological advancement in the latest time is the reason
that has created an impact in the construction industry. It has changed the face of the entire
global market. The information technology sector has impacted construction business in a large
way. Such that, the traditional way of handling the construction business has changed entirely,
and the changes that has occurred have been influenced by the rapid technological advancements
in the business world. Construction is an out and out nature of the business where land deals,
buildings, housing complexes other constructional issues are dealt with. The recent changes that
have been brought within the construction industry have been on under the influence of the
technological advancements. The independent oversight of the construction industry has been
influenced by the technological and economical developments. It is experiencing a palpable
positive mode of change ever since there have been changes in the government and the changes

the economy is on the scale that would draw millions of job seekers within the economy and
locally manufactured products are bagging much importance much more than what it could have
done earlier. government infrastructure spending more and more for bringing out the positive
economic development and the perfect environment for construction to thrive well adopting all
the technological advancements to ease out the operations within the industry. more and more
investments are leading to the smooth operations of the construction industry with the utilisation
of the information and technology.

Information Technology Industry: The future changes that might affect the information
technology industry is regarding the security issues that industry is facing right now. The biggest
challenge in information technology is to secure the future. since the security problems can affect
negatively for the public as well as the private networks and it cannot be successfully addressed
right now as envisions are suspected at every point of time, it is necessary that a proper way to
find out a process that would ensure Total Security should be etched out. The machines involved
in information technology are not the problem but the people who are involved in every level of
the industry both inside and out. Working in a computer security and information technology
industry, a person can make out that security in many cases does not acknowledge in every level
of the industry. The biggest problem is not from outside but they tend to be from the inside

Construction Industry: It is expected that the construction industry would go through
several changes in future. Every business industry has to go through several changes every time
and involved in a new way. The trends appear everywhere within the industry and from
technological advancement to having a stronger focus on the sustainability it makes sure that the
construction companies stay way ahead of the other industries in comparison and be absolutely
responsible in using the emerging trends in technology that would prepare the entire industry for
the future. There have been many examples in the past of future trends making construction
industry work much in a much easier way and much efficiently. Thus, there can be several
changes that impacts upon the construction industry in future. First and foremost there is
expected that more technological integration woodwork in pushing the main factors of the
construction industry. Recent advancements have resulted to the fact that Technology can be
specifically suited to the construction project and the use of drone and 3D printing would be
more than ever before. Both of these forms of Technology would be much accepted by the

is another advancement that has been providing a lot of benefits to the construction industry and

near future as per speculations. Sustainability would be a factor that would be focused on much
more and it would not be a problem in making this an important factor for finding the best
product for completing a job. The managers will always look for sustainability through the
products that have been used for a project to have full focus on economical benefits, like the

For this comparison the information technology industry is to be taken. This would
include the three key organisations of Dimagi, Inveneo and IICD would be considered.

of the cultural diversity for the betterment of decision making within the organisation.”
