STEWARDSHIP OF RESOURCES
Thread
Stewardship implies the authority and the responsibility of people over the affairs of the
households as per the ancient belief. Gods owns everything, he is the owner of all our careers
and businesses. Therefore, one of the most important principles of biblical stewardship is that
God owns everything and he gives it to humans for their own utilization and manages it on his
behalf. As mentioned in Psalms 24:1, “The Earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world
and all who live in it (Dodd & Dyck, 2015).” Stewardship refers to all out decision making, the
way we choose to utilize our time, talent and energy. The real values of the business organization
reflect the ways in which the manager acts, uses the funds of the shareholders and treats other
employees. Stewardship implies honest leaders in the business organization and practicing good
stewardship. I believe that work should not keep away from following Jesus (Smith & Scales,
2013). Humans are given the power to reflect and mirror the stewardship of God over the sphere
of creation. Dominance given to us is not a license to exploit, destroy or consume the earth. It is
our responsibility to exercise stewardship and prevent it from falling apart (West et al, 2018). As
mentioned by Smith & Scales, (2013), stewardship requires responsible planning and managing
the resources in a responsible manner. Stewardship can be applied to nature, environment,
health, theology and other worldly things. Therefore, humans must behave ethically and work
towards the glory of God.

STEWARDSHIP OF RESOURCES
The work done by you is excellent, I agree with most of the theology and ideas stated by
you. I agree with you on the point that a steward performs the function of the leader, taking
responsibilities and keeping the things under the control. However, in my opinion I feel that
stewardship is one of the ways in which Gods tells us to live our lives. It is highly lighted
throughout the Bible and it highly influences the way we humans live our life for the glory of the
Lord. I also believe and agree with you that humans dominate over the animals in a way, but it is
also true some of the humans treat the animals with cruelty. It is about the way in which the
humans engage themselves in various scientific endeavors (Dodd & Dyck, 2015). I also agree
with you on the point that being stewards is a huge responsibility which involves working,
learning, working and guiding as well.

Dear xxx
The entire work done by you is very informative and to the point. However, I would like
to add few more points to your views and opinions. I agree with you on the point that we humans
are responsible for the earth and take care of it rather than exploiting it or destroying it. We
human beings must truly take care and nurture his creations. Additionally I would like to state
that human beings are enormously responsible for his creation which is commanded by God
himself (Smith & Scales, 2013). I agree with you on the point that learning and caring for the
business is all we have to do just like we do for yourself. However, I think it would be better if
you could elaborate on the points with more clarity of thoughts. Overall I think this is a very
interesting read and I could gain lot of ideas and thoughts from it.
