Introduction
Academic Integrity basically includes the ethical policy and moral code of academia.
It is basically a fundamental to research, teaching and learning. It also allows the staff and
students the freedom to build creative works, new ideas and knowledge while acknowledging
and respecting the work of others. In this report it involves the discussion on the importance
of the academic integrity and also includes the various disadvantages and advantages of the
academic integrity and how it basically influences and have a impact on the life of students
and how they can take various measures in order to avoid breaking the rules of university. In
addition to that it involves the various major point and also a conclusion for the purpose to
identify the various aspects of the academic integrity.
Section 1
An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity basically involves being fully responsible and truthful towards the
studies and providing others the advantages of the work. In context to students, while writing
their assignments or performing their tasks they need to be extra careful and accountable
while sharing the data and information and need to be true and honest in their
work(Alagaratnam and Ranawella, 2019).
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher
education
Academic Integrity plays a very important role in higher education and also depicts
how the students are honest and dedicated about their assignments and tasks in the
universities and a;so involves how the students take responsibility in their work and how they
focuses on not breaking the rules of universities(Brown, Luna and LaLonde, 2019).
Moreover, the students who are highly motivated and commitment towards universities are
not willing to copy other person tasks or assignments. In addition to that students the
university's regulations and rules seriously with a fear of not being thrown out of the
university which might resulting in having a major influence on the future. For example, it
has been analyzed that some students for the purpose of getting a degree intentionally copied
the assignment of other students without giving them the desired credit regarding their hard

work. In context to such cases, universities are highly strict for the objective to protect such
students who are actually putting the hard work in completing their assignments and for the
purpose to achieve their degrees.
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct is basically defined as the situation when a person or individual
is taking a fuller opportunity and advantage for their own self and not giving other students
the desired credit for their hard work. It is basically considered to the situation when other
students is not given the desired credit for his or her hard work and is providing misleading
and incorrect or false information or data that could lead to breaking the plagiarizing law
from other students of the university(Henderson and McKinnon, 2021).
Plagiarism: It basically involves the presenting somebody's else ideas or work as their own
without taking their permission or consent and using that information or data in their own
assignments. In order to avoid plagiarism, it is important to employ and learn about the
various rules and principles at the starting level of the university career for a good academic
practice. In context to universities, it is considered to be one of the one of the biggest
problems because in a situation when a student has copied the assignment of other student it
might affect the assignment and degree of other student. In case of academic misconduct,
another situation occurs when students are not providing the actual or right author name as a
source which results in few universities kicking out students from the universities(Kiru,
2019).
Professional Misconduct: In context to professional misconduct it is advised for the students
to behave in a professional manner while they are carrying out their studies in the higher
education. The main objective of the professional misconduct is that it allows students to
respect the regulations and rules that need to be followed by them for the aim to pair them up
with the concept of employ ability once they graduate from universities. Another important
aspect of professional misconduct is taking full responsibility and providing the due credit to
other individual's work. In some cases, people can find hard for themselves to follow the
regulations and rules of professional misconduct as they are not willing to take the
responsibility of other person's work(Lavallee and Gadhia, 2021).

Another academic misconduct involves cheating. Cheating is basically an activity
when people cheat in their assignment which basically happens in various universities. When
a student faces problems or difficulties in performing their assignments. In some universities,
students who are struggling in their assignments are offered help by the universities but still
some students choose the method of cheating(Nordin, 2019).
Section 2
Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in
producing the game for Assignment 2
During my assignments, in my team I have faced a lot difficulties. The major problem
that I faced was not having sufficient understanding of the game and how to display it and
provide a proper presentation of the game and how to make changes in the game as per the
academic integrity rules. In addition to that it took me a lot of time to think carefully about
the game(Priestley, 2018). Moreover, in my team we have decided to the choose
“Monopoly” game as according to that we had to make changes that will require a lot of work
for the purpose to make changes. The most problematic thing about the game is that this is
the first time I will be playing the game and regarding the game I have a lot confusions and
problems as we need to adopt the various academic integrity rulers in the game which
basically requires a lot of time and effort(Swartz and Cole, 2019).Another difficult thing was
really frustrating and irritating was to have a proper communication among the team leader
and moreover there are various other difficulties regarding the game and how to make
changes as the per the game and learning the game carefully and effectively and in efficient
manner. In the process of making the board game, there was a requirement to take help from
the team as I had to photo shop the ruler into the game as it was really difficult for me to
understand the game in a better way. After making the game, we faced a lot of problems on
how to take part in the game and how to present after completing the game. Moreover while
making the game I would keep in mind the next time I will choose a easy method of game
that will help me in adapting the rules and also better understanding about the game.
Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those
emphasized in producing your game
Document Page
While doing my assignments, the skills I got and learned during my academic year
was that I have the ability and true believe in performing my assignments and also I would
involve the courage which have an amazing grade. The another important skill which I
developed during my academic year involves the organization skills and it helped me in
becoming more focused and organized which plays a quite important role and is very
important. The another skill which I have learned during my second semester was to make
the game much more easier and to share my ideas with my team members and also provide
feedback on how to play the game(Williams, 2018).The another skill which I have learned
was to work with others and to discuss the various problems regarding the game which are
highly open minded with opinions of other people in order to get success in the game. The
another important skill which I need to improve is to present my work in front of tutor
without getting nervous, also I was quite confident about my work and had to plan my game
before starting the entire process.
Conclusion
In this report, it involves the importance of academic integrity which plays a quite
important role in the life of students and it also reflects the how the student need to fulfill its
responsibility of other individual's work and also giving them the due credit for their hard
work. The another important topic that need to be considered which basically involves the
various types of academic misconduct which are important for the students and they need to
pay much more attention as it plays a very important role in cheating and plagiarism. In the
section 2, the report involves the description of the difficulties that I faced during the
production of the game and it also involves the various skills which I developed during the
game.
