INTRODUCTION
In corporate world, challenges are meant to be occur mainly due to internal and external
factors. It is important be aware about these challenges so that work is being carried out in proper
manner (Heikkilä, 2018). Tesco, largest supermarket headquartered in U.K. The firm is located
globally and has wide variety of stores across the globe. It mostly products such as groceries,
consumable goods etc. This report comprises of business functions & their inter-link with each
other and academic skills which are required to be successful undergraduate challenge.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
Analyse how different business functions are important and demonstrate their link with each other
IN business, many functions and operation's are carried out by company according to
which they recruit employees. In reference with selected firm, they also have many business
functions such as marketing, finance, HR etc. through they perform their roles & responsibilities.
So functions like finance department of relative company are responsible for allocation of funds
according to heir requirement. Through this entity is able to utilize their resources in most efficient
way. Then comes the operations function in which they are responsible for increasing and
delivering higher work efficiency and productivity. Further is Human resource are being carried
out for recruiting and selecting skilled staff for job role (Lin, 2018). They all are inter-linked with
each other which helps them in accomplishing of goal and objectives in proper manner.
In relevance with Tesco, they carry out these business functions all together with the help of
which it become easy for them to make decisions within a organisation. Moreover, manager of firm
make assure that work is being done by accessing to these functions.

TASK 2
Examine academic skills & techniques that are essential for a undergraduate student
In student perspective, it is important to have academic skills because without using of
these skill and knowledge it is not possible for them to achieve their goals. There are several types
of skills such as research, presentation, communication skills etc. which are essential for becoming
a successful undergraduate student. Moreover, it is also essential for students to manage time &
level of knowledge so that they are applied at all aspects. Communication skills & presentation
skills have been considered as crucial which are required to be used in appropriate way. These skills
assist student in dealing with others, making effective communication etc.
With help of these academic skills, it is easy for student to achieve their objectives in well
efficient manner. Moreover, to acquire these skills, they can attend webinars, lectures, also can
prefer online coaching which will increase their inner capabilities at extensible level (Macchi,
2020).
CONCLUSION
From above discussed report, it is stated that becoming a successfully graduate is big
challenge. It is crucial to have well knowledge and skills in a specific field to achieve goals. In this
report, certain discussions have been made about business functions and academic skill required by
students. It has been evaluated that students need to be well prepare and improve their level of
skills so that they are able to become a successful undergraduate student.
