Introduction
Academic integrity is a concept which is followed in academics in order to complete
each and every task as per predefined norms and guidelines. It is analyzed that there are a lot
of rules prepared for maintaining integrity and reputation of educational institution. Here,
students as well as staff need to follow the rules & regulations in significant manner (Gallant,
2019) .There are some fundamental values associated with academic integrity such as
honesty, fairness, respect, trust and responsibility. Academic integrity makes sure that values
put into practice by honestly doing the work in University, being fair to others as well as take
the responsibility for learning. The present report comprises detailed information regarding
importance of academic integrity and the implications of academic misconduct. Difficulties
which arise during innovation of game have been also covered in the following report along
with the skills and abilities which have been gained during development of game.

An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is related with the basic fundamentals of teaching, learning as well
as research at University. Main aim of academic integrity is to facilitate honest behavior in
educational setting by minimizing inappropriate activities and behavior in significant manner.
It also allows teachers and students to facilitate creative approach, embark new ideas for
further growth and development. It aims to bring moral and ethical practices within academic
setting fot getting positive outcomes (Jung-Mathews, 2017). Here, teachers as well as staff
members both are responsible for maintaining academic integrity within educational
institution. For students, it is necessary to avoid copying assignments, plagiarism and other
such as improper activates. On other side, teacher also required to follow the principles of
academic integrity as they are considered as role model by students. So, it is the duty of
teachers to adhere academic integrity within educational setting for facilitating creativity and
innovation in significant manner. For this, some crucial elements or values in relation of
academic integrity is discussed as under:
Honesty: It is one of the most important values of academic integrity which aims to
facilitate fair practices within education setting. According to this, students need to put fair
efforts in order to get success in career.

Trust: It is a crucial factor and important for making a good relationship. During
academics, individuals often need to work as a team where trust is really important for
maintaining higher coordination as well as collaboration. Without trust, it is not possible to
attain predefined goals of team in an efficient manner.
Fairness: According to this value of academic integrity, all the tasks related to
academics need to complete with fairness. In this, students as well as staff member need to
fairly perform their assigned tasks. For this, students are required to prepare assignments and
reports in fair manner which also need to evaluate by faculty members fairly (Akhmetova and
Seytbenbet, 2018).
Respect: Respect is an imperative aspect of academic integrity where each and every
person involves in academic activity need to respect each other significantly. Here, teachers
and students are two important partied of academics so they both need to respect each other
for maintaining peaceful environment within institutions (MacLeod and et. al., 2016). In this
regard, students are required to listen faculty members and complete the assign projects
timely. However, teachers also need to facilitate creativity and innovation within educational
setting.
Responsibility: In educational institutions, each and every person hold some roles &
responsibilities which need to perform in an efficient manner for getting better outcomes in
future period of time. It is a vital element of academic integrity as here individuals put their
significant efforts and invests time so that they can complete assigned task within deadlines.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity is an important concept which is applied at higher level of
education system and significantly helps in bringing creativity and innovation with an
institution. In academic integrity, it is ensured that all the necessary activities of academics
are carried out in ethical as well as fair manner (Hyde and et. al., 2018). Further, it is also
helpful in terms of maintaining higher prestige of institution in market by which the value of
their degree enhanced significantly. It is stated that involvement in inappropriate activities
might hamper the current reputation of University so it is essential to ensure higher regulation
of academic integrity fundamentals for securing remarkable position in academic setting.
Apart from this, academic integrity is also considered important for learning, development,
teaching and research at University level. It is stated that academic integrity facilitates new
knowledge, creativity and innovation within an educational institution. Further, it is not only

helpful in terms of securing higher reputation for University but also helps in overall societal
well being and upliftment. It demonstrates the authentication of the degree which is received
by student from University. Academic integrity plays a crucial role in maintaining the dignity
of degree which further provides a lot of growth opportunities to students in significant
manner. Moreover, the practice of academic integrity embarks fair approaches with an
educational setting by minimizing inappropriate and dishonest practices effectively.
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct is considered as a major issue which might have a lot of serious
implications. It is related to get involved in improper practices like plagiarism, cheating and
so on. Academic integrity is really important for in educational setting so each and every
University have their own rules for prevention of academic misconduct. However, there are
also some general implications which are formulated by higher authorities of educational
sector and need to follow by educational institution in significant manner. In this regard, the
major implications are mentioned as under:
 In academic misconduct, there are some legal implications like fines, loss of future
projects and assignment, disrespect, lawsuit more. It is stated that getting involves in
such inappropriate activities put adverse impact over career of students. Further,
academic misconduct also harms the existing reputation & prestige of university.
 It is analyzed that academic misconduct might become a reason of suspension and
rustication from university which will ruin the whole career of students. In addition to
this, the students who involve in such activity are not likely to get admission in other
institutions. By this way, their whole future will be ruin and it will also significantly
hamper the prestige of (Londino and et. al., 2016).
 Implication might differ on the basis of nature of misconduct. If, misconduct is not
major and related to copying the assignment, researcher report and more in such
situation implication will be normal such as redo the assignment, failing in the exam
and more. On other side, serious misconduct such as leak the exam paper, getting
involved in ragging and more might have serious implications which will lead a
student towards suspension from college.
 Academic misconduct also becomes a reason of loss related to intellectual property.
Here, plagiarism is regarded as stealing the work which is done by some other person
without taking the permission of that person. So, use of some other person creation

might hamper their intellectual rights. In addition to this, it also put negatively affect
reputation and income of original writer (Kogut, Palombi and Clark, 2019).
 Students who get involved in academic misconduct activities feel guilt and also start
to have issues of self esteem which reduce down their confidence level and
significantly affect their future performance. Due to this, they loss self respect which
further become the reason of depression stress and anxiety. By this way, academic
misconduct has a lot of personal implications in terms of hampering self respect and
dignity of individual.
With above mentioned information, it is analyzed that academic misconduct has a lot
of major implications which are legal, social as well as personal. So, it is important for
educational institutions to identify such cases and take appropriate steps for preventing this
issue in significant manner.

Steps in development of game
It is analyzed that while producing a game, there are various activities need to
perform in an efficient manner. In present scenario, I will develop a game related to cards in
order to get positive outcomes within academic setting. Here, necessary steps for developing
a game are mentioned below:
 For developing a game, first it is important to understand the whole concept. Here, I
am looking forwards to produce a game of cards with an aim to develop necessary
abilities and competencies among students.
 After knowing the whole concept, I will develop the actual game and motivate
students to take part in the game for testing the game at initial level. It will help me to
check the effectiveness of game for making further improvements.
 After getting appropriate outcomes, the game will be launch in real context for getting
desired results.
Difficulties in producing the game

There is requirement to have creative thoughts and ideas in order to develop a game
for which it is necessary to conduct market research. I faced a lot of difficulties while
conducting market research. Here, I need to devote extensive time as well as cost for getting
the idea related to production & development of game. In addition to this, maintenance of
game is also not important. For this, I need analyze the progress and after effects of game
consistently for making improvement in game in an efficient manner. There are also some
legal threats related to game. In this regards, a lot of rules & regulations are prepared by
respective authorities in order to avoid any harmful impacts of game over society. So, I need
to take care about legal aspects while developing the game so that I can avoid legal hassles
which might arise in future period of time. Further, there are difficulties related to resources,
maintenance, acceptance and more.
Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those emphasized in
producing your game
During semester, I have got several skills such as management skills which will
further help me in order to manage different activities in an efficient manner. Here,
management skill will also assist me in order to perform assigned task at work place
effectively by maintaining effective management between different activities significantly. I
also worked in a team during semester activities which developed my team work capabilities
and enable me in maintain effective coordination & collaboration among team members.
With the help of this skill, I will be able to interact and coordinate with team members at
work place in an effective manner. During development of game, I need to make appropriate
schedule so that all the activities related to game can be undertake in time effective manner. It
developed my time management capability which is important in order to complete the
assigned task within deadlines. For development of game, creativity and innovation is highly
important so I got creative thinking and ability which will assist me in terms of providing
creative and innovative ideas at work place for further betterment. In addition to this, I also
interacted with different personalities, having different mind sets and opinions during
production of game which developed my communication abilities. It is stated that
communication skills are vital and assist me in order to put a better impression over
colleagues, peers, managers within organization. By this way, I got various skills &
competencies during semester and development of game which will surely help in terms of
getting growth in career in future period of time.

Conclusion
It is concluded out of above stated information that academic integrity aims to
regulate the behavior and inappropriate practice undertaken by staff members and students of
University. Further, academic integrity is also important in order to facilitate innovation and
advancements within educational institutions. Discussion has been carried out about
important values related to academic integrity. It is summarized that there are a lot of major
legal, social and other implications of academic misconduct. There are a lot of difficulties are
faced while producing a game and also it helps in developing various skills and competencies
significantly.
