Subject:
As a student at the Business Administration program here at Algonquin College, reviewing the courses
for all the years and levels for this program and as a student, I was having thoughts about replacing one
of my existing class and add a new class. I would like to recommend to the following on substituting the
classIntroduction to Management Fundamentals and replace it to Accounting Concepts II.

leading, organizing, and controlling. The role of a manager and the skills and the techniques is required

control and evaluate and gather key accounting data. The topics covered by this class are product
planning, differential analysis and budgeting.
How the Accounting Concept II Benefit Me
Here are few reasons why the Accounting Concept II would be better choice for me to take:
1. I feel that this will be able to help me for the mathematics part as I am not very good in math.
This is very useful as this will enable me to get rid of my fears in the accountancy part.
2. I will be benefitted because I will be able to able understand the different methods of decision
making and also the role to be played by the manager. As per m y opinion these are really very
essential because these helps me to understand about the different strategies that I will have to
take in order to become a successful manager.
3. Control and decisions making are the basic roles that a manager must play in order to understand
the ongoing issues in the organization and also to make sure that they are solved at the same
time. However if the Introduction to Management Fundamentals is done in the beginning of
the course then all these essential chapters gets missed out. Later it will really be a major
problem to return back to the basics and to understand all these.
Summary and Action
I recommend you to do the following
Replace the Introduction to Management Fundamentals with Accounting concepts as the first
chapter of the course

Ask students to attain all the scheduled classes in order to know the basics like budgeting,
planning and control, product planning and others so that they do not find it tough in the later
parts of the course
Therefore, owing to all the enlisted benefits above, I would request you to reschedule the
syllabus and replace Management Fundamentals and replace it to Accounting Concepts. This
will enable students to cope up with the syllabus in a step by step manner.
