INTRODUCTION
Business consulting are indulged in the area of marketing, finance, HR, accounting etc.
business consultants can improve company by finding out weakness and also providing them
solutions. London school of science & technology is the institute which offers courses and
degree to the students. This report will discuss related to client and the problem which client is
facing. Further will evaluate competition and target market of client. This report will also discuss
three major issues of the client.
MAIN BODY
Who is the client and problems they are facing
The London school of science & technology (LSST) is the private college which is based
in London (Turner, 2018). College have well developed infrastructure and they provide various
educational experiences to the students. In order to develop various skills in the students, college
provides vocational educational which is helpful in developing entrepreneurial feelings in the
students. London school of science & technology wanted to launch new course and for that they
are having good teachers which are highly qualified and possess knowledge and have skill set.
They are launching course with the aim to provide knowledge to those students who are
interested to take professional and business degree so that can able to build their career into their
preferred profession. This course will develop special knowledge in the students which will be
very helpful in their career.
LSST wanted to attract those students who are having that sort of wisdom so that they can do and
learn such courses. Students who are already enrolled in the college can also purse this course.
As for doing this course new enrolment is not required. Educational institutes come with new
courses so that they can beat their competition. As everyone can see that competition is growing
like anything and also in educational field competition can be seen nowadays. So that is why
colleges have to bring new courses so that can attract students towards them. The major problem
which the institute is facing is related to the staff as finding faculty who can teach advanced
courses is not an easy task. So this is the identified problem (Kohne, 2019).
Breaking down the problem by evaluating important areas of clients
There are many problems or factors which can affect profit of the client. Some of them

Competitors:
As discussed above also competition in educational sector is increasing rapidly just like it
is increasing in other field (Nissen, Nissen and Rauscher, 2019). So to deal with competition
college or educational institutions have to launch new course so that more individuals can get
attracted. As some courses are running from age old times so on the basis of such courses college
cannot earn profits or attract students. Students are also like customers because in order to attract
more customers company have to launch new products in the market and same case is with
students also. In order to attract more students institutions have to launch new courses. One of
the reason of launching new courses are the modern workplace also. As nowadays modern
companies are hiring such candidates which are having advanced knowledge and skills and this
can be learn by doing some advanced courses. In education field there is massive competition so
in order to survive for longer time they have to bring some innovative courses which can help
students in getting advanced knowledge.
Target market:
Main target market for London School of Science & Technology is students. As
institution is opened for students only. When students will get admission in the college then only
college will make only. So major target is to attract students and especially those students who
have done their graduation in business background. As by pursuing this course they will get extra
benefit if they complete this course. As this course will give advanced level of understanding to
the students. So after pursuing this course when students will apply for job then there are chances
that they will be preferred by the organization as compare to other candidate because of this
course because company's HR will think that if they recruit this candidate then he or she can help
company to grow with his or her advanced knowledge (Campbell and Randhawa, 2019).
The faculty related to accounts and finance are also the target audience for them because if they
hire such faculty who have knowledge related to the course then only they can able to deliver
services. If college will start course and will get admission and if there is no faculty who can
teach this course then launching course will be of no use. Business leaders are also required by
college. Role of business leader is to check that what is introduced in institution is adding value
to the institution or not. They will check and also monitor everything that staff is doing work
properly or not and in which area improvement is required.

These are the factors which are present outside of business but affect them and also
business have no control on such factors.
Political factors: government have control on private educational institutions as they monitor that
these institutions are following policy or guideline provided by them or not (PESTLE Analysis
for Schools or Education., 2016). Changes in curriculum by government and implementing such
changes are not so easy.
Economic factors: funding rules which is applied by central government can create issues for
institutions. Educational institutes also have to bear costs for resources which have to be
provided to teachers or students.
Social factors: decreasing in birth rate or changes in local population. Preference of people also
affect as parents want their students to learn many languages or they want extra curricular
activities more so they will choose such institutions only who are providing this kind of study
material.
Technology factors: there are risk if institutes select wrong technology and viruses into the
computer can affect operations of such educational institutes.
Top issues faced by the client
Recruiting teachers:
As recruiting teachers are easy but recruiting such teachers who can deliver or conduct
such courses to the students is not easy (Ratalewska, 2018). Hiring high profiled teaching staff is
difficult. As courses which the institute is launching is advanced courses so that require such
teacher who have such knowledge. As for basic and common courses one can find many teachers
for that but when it comes to special courses then it comes with limit because very few people
have knowledge about such courses. Also if teacher will teach such course to the students then
they will charge high salary from the institution. So it can be said that recruiting teachers with
special knowledge is quite challenging for them. To search for these teachers is difficult because
it is not only about course but quality also matters.
Research and development experts:
It is found that institutes nowadays are lacking efficient employees for research and
development. It is very essential because if business want to grow whether it is company or
educational institutes strong R&D is required so that can produce products and services as per
the demand of people. LSST should have employ experts who can do research and find out

demand of people by studying market trends properly. As research cannot perform by anyone
because for every individual they cannot perform research as it require special knowledge and
skills and experience to do so.
No competitive advantage:
LSST also found that they are not getting any advantages or benefits if they are delivering
quality education. Although quality is important when it comes to education but it has noticed
that people or students are focusing more on various courses as compare to good quality of
courses. As students are demanding that they want to purse some new or advanced courses so
that they can get good job. As according to students advanced course certificate will help them in
getting good job and through this they will build their career (Haapakorpi, 2020). As per college
quality of education is priority but by adopting this practice is not giving them any additional
benefits.
Conclusion
Through this report it can be concluded that London School of Science & Technology is
famous institute and want to launch new course for the students. This is the professional course
which will helps students in enhancing their career. This report has discussed about competition
which such institutes faces in order to survive in the market. Target audience of institution is
obviously students who are interested to learn such courses so that can get good job. Teachers
have skills and understanding who can teach such courses are also the target audience for them.
Three common issues which LSST is facing are related to competition, recruiting expert staff and
lack of competitive advantages after providing quality services.
