EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The report aimed to identify the UML models of the MyFitnessPal application and
understand the narratives about the design patterns of the User-interface and
recommendations (Hamdani and et.al., 2021). The report has summarised the different
information and includes a use case diagram, class diagram, activity, and a state diagram. It
plays a vital role in fitness applications to identify the entire performance.
UML modelling is all about identifying the demand of software developers and focusing on
the software development process. It allows people to visualize the system's entire working
performance and operation easily. It leads to achieving great success.
The development of UML model has been discussed in this report. It has been proposed the
draft and selects the application which has been expressed. Furthermore, it critically analyses
the importance of the MyFitnessPal application and provides the primary preference of users
using it. By using the MyFitnessPal application, it has maintained the information about
fitness and tracks all kinds of information available on the platform. The report has explained
the User –interface and shows nutrition-specific data from users. In this way, it has been
concluded that narratives about the user-interface designs of applications include screenshots.

provided the best quality fitness services in 1840s. In the past decade, physical training was
considered practiced by athletes of ancient (Ayiro, 2020). It was supposed to include facilities
for weight loss and dietary management. This kind of business has provided the best
opportunity for everyone. It encourages people to focus on their fitness ability and change
their daily diet plan for food consumption.
Background of company
My FitnessPal Company was established in 2015, and acquired by athletic under
Armour. The company introduced a facility or service of premium subscription tier through
digital applications. Now, the company has 80 million users at a single time. It is dealing
worth a dollar 475 million.

Service and problems addressed in the system
Using the MyFitnessPal app, the company has provided the facilities of food nutrition
and assigned a specific diet plan. The user can easily track or monitor nutrients by scanning
different food items' barcodes (Hamdani et al., 2021). Users can use this approach to track
exercise and burn calories quickly and regularly.
At a certain point, it has been addressed the problem in the system related to the lack
of automation. Without this, getting all the necessary information or data isn't accessible.
Another problem is related to the lack of professional training. Some employees are unaware
of the navigation option of the application.

It is defined the process in which facilitate a communication between one or more
people through application. In this section, it has been considered UI design which provide
the better facilities and create a relationship between users (Hoe, 2020). At some point, it may
create a strong interaction by user through system. MyFitnessPal app is kind of user-friendly
so that every user is able to use themselves without knowledge of technical procedure.

Features of the application
The main feature of the My FitnessPal app allows users to use barcode scanning
options and what they want to consume (Shyuan and Wahid, 2021). The application will be
updated the user regarding nutrition data. So, users can quickly check their profile to monitor
the calories they will intake regularly.
Another application feature is connecting with other hardware devices such as
watches and bands, which keeps track of or monitors the movement of particular users.
The good side of UI design - The best side is when the user interface of UI design is almost
invisible to the user. So, it can easily avoid unwanted elements and maintain consistency in
the system (Shyuan and Wahid, 2021).
The wrong side of UI design- Unresponsive and sluggish are considered the nasty trait of UI
design because it automatically slows down the interaction or communication.
