Business environment requires high level of practice and knowledge about the business
factors. Doing business is not an easy task, it requires knowledge, network, management and
communication. Business can't be done with the mind set of present situation, it will always be
done to foreseen the situation which will put an impact on business. There are mainly two type of
factors which highly affect the business conditions and provide high profitability i.e. internal

the organisation, these are the part of the organisation, on the other hand external factors are
those which are from outside the business, part of the environment but, affect the business
operation (Askarov,2022). It is really necessary for the organisation to analyse the business
environment and there are some frameworks through which company analyse the internal and
external environment of the business. To understand the business regulations and its factors for
this report the company is taken which deals with printing press for the last 10 years in Chase
Green House, England. In this report, the SWOT & PESTEL analysis will be done of the
selected business company and analysation will be done to calculate the competitive position of
the company through Porter's Five Forces Model. Apart from this report analysis, the self
reflection will be made on academic learning and all personal development skills.

company was situated in chase green house, England. The company started trading in 30 May
1881, dealing with the printing of newspapers. It will better to understand about the company by

After completing the above report, the reflection part is being done on skills which I
learned or used in before making the above report. These skills were not only used in the above
report but, it will be use in every aspect of life to enhance my career. To prepare this report I
learned few skills such as communication skills, problem solving skills and the numeracy skill. I
would explain the skills weekly wise because that's how I got learned and applied skills in the
above report.
WEEK 1
It is really important for me to learn how to do reflective learning, it shows me the
importance of reflection to develop myself. In the first week I learned how to prepare skills
assessment and how to represent it by self assessment. In learning skill assessment I learned
various skills like communication skill, in which I got an idea or the skill to communicate or the
way to express my words accurately what I want to tell others. This skill is developed by me in
the first week by having a conversation with myself and apply the vocabulary which I got
learned from the English books, novels and articles. This skill not only assist me in the above
report but also it helps me to interact with other people with the confidence and without
hesitation. In the same week, another skill which I got learned is problem solving skill, there are
different problems in different areas so. According to that I learned this skill to apply it
according to the situation. Apart from the report, problem solving skill helps me in my personal,
professional and also in my academic areas. In all the fields problem arising is normal and it
should be happen, to getting out of the problem I learned to identify the problem first and
according to that difficulty or problem I examine various solutions for that problem and in the
last choose one solution to overcome with that problem. It requires some creativity and
imagination which helps me to think out of the box and solve the problem in time. There is an
another skill which I got learned in this week is Numeracy skill, this skill really find beneficial
for me as it gives me the brain to solve the mathematical illustration. It will eventually helps me
in my career along with the report.

These are some skills which I got developed in my first week of learning. These skills after
learning I applied in the above report and also applied all the skills in my daily life routine.

WEEK 2
I gave second week to improve my communication skills, I examine the importance of
communication in day to day life. I come out with the plan to improve my communication by
interacting with my fellow mates, manager and with my team leader. I participated in the team
project which give me a chance to interact with different people of my team. The interaction
which took place between me and my team mates, leader helps me to improve my
communication skill.
In the same week I go through with the Belbin theory. In this theory there are nine
different team roles which assist the learner to form a well establish team. This theory was
divided into three main categories group such as; thought oriented, action oriented and people
oriented. The VARK learning styles which I learned in my first week assist me to understand the
Belbin team theory and also cleared my mind to choose the oriented of this theory.
WEEK 3
In third week I give my time to learn SWOT and PESTEL analysis which I already used
in the above report in regard to Brunswick Press Limited. Through learning only I was able to do
the analysation for the company. It would really helpful for me as, it gave an idea to me about
the company strength, weakness, opportunities and threat. By learning the PESTEL analysation

started the learning but, as I started learning with the help of VARK learning style particularly
reading and writing learning style. It gives an idea to me about the company and with the help of
the VARK model I got learned the importance of SWOT and PESTEL analysation.
Apart from the above analysation, I also learn the five force model of porter's, which gave me an
idea about the competitive market. The VARK learning style, I applied to learn the porter's
model assist me the way to apply any one of porter's model to complete the case study business
analysis.
WEEK 4
In the last week, I took my time to revise and to realise my learning which I got learned
in last three weeks. In the fourth week I realise my strength and weakness with the help of
SWOT analysation. I realised and considered my strength to my numeric skill, communication
skill and problem solving skill (Sheffield, 2020). After knowing all me strengths I realised to
work on my weakness, to the improvement I prepared personal development plan which helps
me to overcome with my weakness.

started the learning but, as I started learning with the help of VARK learning style particularly
reading and writing learning style. It gives an idea to me about the company and with the help of
the VARK model I got learned the importance of SWOT and PESTEL analysation.
Apart from the above analysation, I also learn the five force model of porter's, which gave me an
idea about the competitive market. The VARK learning style, I applied to learn the porter's
model assist me the way to apply any one of porter's model to complete the case study business
analysis.
WEEK 4
In the last week, I took my time to revise and to realise my learning which I got learned
in last three weeks. In the fourth week I realise my strength and weakness with the help of
SWOT analysation. I realised and considered my strength to my numeric skill, communication
skill and problem solving skill (Sheffield, 2020). After knowing all me strengths I realised to
work on my weakness, to the improvement I prepared personal development plan which helps
me to overcome with my weakness.
