INTRODUCTION
Business Environment consist of internal and external factors such as market trends,
customer demands, suppliers and more that affect the business directly. This help in overall
planning of a business which provide growth opportunities. This report covers different types of
organisation and their growth aspects in different part of country. This also includes various
firms like ASDA, Wellcome trust and BBC and their legal structure, scope, size and their
offerings. The report comprises of interrelationship between various departments using
organisational charts.
Explain different types of organisations
Organisation is an entity comprises of people, institution or association formed together
to accomplish goal in a effective manner. Various functions are performed by manager such as
planning, organising, directing, monitoring and coordinating the activities of a business. It
consist of framework of duties and responsibilities assigned by managers to achieve the task at a
appropriate time. There are different types of organisations such as pubic, private and voluntary
organisation. They are described as follows:
Public organisation: These are the organisation that is managed and operated by
government and the taxes that is paid by people are used for welfare of an organisation.
Public companies have huge financial resources and their liability is limited to the extent
of capital contributed by them. BBC is one of the leading public company across the
globe.
Private organisations: These organisations are run and operated by private individuals
and their motive is to earn profit. One of the advantage of private organisation is that they
provide excellent infrastructure facilities and fast services to their customer but at the
same time it is regarded as expensive. ASDA is one of the renowned private retailer in
UK which is engage in wide variety of products.
Voluntary organisation: These organisation refers to non profit organisation which is
formed by group of people or association to achieve goal. Their motive is to provide help
to community members rather than earning profit. The role of voluntary organisation is to
meet the needs of individuals, groups or communities either on their own or with the help
of government. Welcome Trust is one of the leading charitable organisation in UK.

International business consist of activities of buying and selling of goods and services
across the national boundaries of a country. It includes multi dimensional activities such as

Today, Globalisation plays an important role in an international business environment. This

Globalization has grown due to advances in technology and communication which gives positive

different parts of the country. Per capita income and level of national income help in determining

These are operated by government and in this institution, funds are raised through various
methods like taxes, fees etc. These organisation do not earn profit. BBC is one of the leading

supermarket in UK as it follow functional structure. In this, there is proper systematically of
work done by employees to gain large access of customers. This increases the efficiency and
productivity of an organisation. Company is mainly dependent on finance and marketing which
determine the growth and profits of a company. The relationship between finance and marketing
is very important for a business as finance is concerned with cost, profit and determine the
financial performance at the end of a year while marketing consist of sales target, volume of
sales and so on. Company should not see difference in both department as these department work
