No. 1 Collaboration in a team.
What is it that makes groups work well?
In order that a group works well, there are various aspects skills, experience and
personality that need to be collaborated. One of the most integral aspect is communication,
which is most integral for any working group (Salas, Rosen, & DiazGranados, 2010). In face-to-
face meetings, group communication needs to be achieved. Transparency and clarity of
communication will allow interpreting ideas and messages which will enable groups to perform
according to objectives and goals defined. The group’s activity by way of transparent
communication will allow shared understanding. Communication includes verbal as well as non-
verbal methods, in group communication, both has to be focused upon. Verbal communication
includes stated or oral and written communications, whereas non-verbal communications include
body language. It is important that along with proper spoken words, a positive body language has
to be maintained to make the group work well.

No. 2: How will you manage your time with the team to ensure you can submit by 18 April
and relax during the Easter break?
Time management is an important factor while working in a team. In order to manage
time appropriately and ensure timely submission, we need to plan activities for the members. At
the initiation of the activities team objectives and goals need to be set and prioritized (Wi, Oh,
Mun, & Jung, 2009). Responsibilities need to be divided and sub-divided within team members
such that each one is able to accomplish their roles within specific time limits. Post the previous
discussion of ‘Collaboration in a team’; I will make sure that there is proper communication
within all team members. I will provide feedback and comments in a timely fashion and I will
make my other team members be updated regarding the activities. I will ensure that the final
submission is broken up into smaller parts and then ensure that every small parts within specific
time limits. Every week, I will monitor and evaluate the progress of the submission to ensure that
it is completed within the due time.

No. 3 What workplace management theme is relevant to you
There are several workplace management themes that have been taught, with sensitivity,
confidentiality and workplace confidentiality, I select the topic of juniorization. Defining the
term reveals that replacing mature employees by junior employees is the process of juniorization.
It is challenging concept in workplace and a better system needs to be adopted (Li et al, 2009).
This workplace management theme is relevant as it enables combining of senior along with
junior employees. It will provide opportunities to junior employees to get exposure into the
working dynamics of the organization. It will allow senior management to groom junior
employees for taking up serious roles in the management.
The workplace theme was explored from a real life organization and the primary motive
behind the strategy was cost cutting and adopting the age diversity factor. There were certain
differences amongst junior and senior employees in their attitude, skills and knowledge. The
team was considered to work upon an assessment by comparing of alternatives. It was the team’s
decision to consider this alternative for the project and considering this as a discussion topic.
