The concept career management is basically defined as the combination of various
options where individual can choose during the time of planning its professional career. For
leading a professional career successfully, it is essential to plan it and developed the skill which
is very important for getting a decent paying reputed job. The functions which are being follows

developments. The written document which is being evaluates by company during the time of

personality, potentiality, capabilities and experience which are shown by individual. For this
report the selected company is Morrison which was established in UK (Al-Abri and Kooli,
2018). The report will cover curriculum vitae, personal statement personal skill audit, SWOT
analysis of individual, SMART objectives, long and medium term career objectives. Due to
providing best quality services and products, the trust of consumers towards the firm are highly
sustained for long duration.
1.1 Justification
The company which I selected for preparing the report is Morrison. The reason for
selecting this firm is that this firm is the fourth biggest supermarket chain in United Kingdom.
This company is also deals with wide range of products and services globally. This firm also
have the suppliers in large number globally. Due to selecting this firm I captures new knowledge
and skills and this is connected with supply chain management and logistics. By adapting new
knowledge and skills growth opportunities for firm are highly increased. They started its
activities within business in 1899 and till now management is able to open around 498 stores by
using the talented employees of around 120,000. This firm is listed in London stock exchange
which increased the value of its brand. But in case I received the opportunity to work with such
type of firm then I easily improve and develop my skills. In this firm the department of logistics
is very big and due to working this department I easily flourish my skills and knowledge at
maximum level. Therefore, if I put effort continuously then I easily reached in top positions
within the company. After joining this firm, I also received training and advise from my experts

within company and due to this I am able to do my task in systematic and attractive manner. Due
to keeping huge number of talented workers working in department of logistics I easily learned
so many things from experienced people. Those experienced peoples guide in various works and
also assist me to increase my career growth at higher rate. That means I want to join in the
position as an logistic executive in Morrison company. The various products of this company are
home appliances, grocery items, clothing and others. In comparison with other retail brands the
quality of their goods and services are highly reliable in multiple locations for users.

2.0 Personal statement: -
In my initial years of career, I worked as a shop assistant at American eagle, Cashier at
Stop&Shop and Assistant manager at Arnold’s Restaurant respectively. Then I moved to United
Kingdom. I had to take these jobs to take a small step towards my actual career. After leaving my
job at Arnold’s Restaurant as an Assistant manager, I gave interview at International Kitchen and
I got selected for the job role of Catering assistant in 2012. I worked there for a year i.e., 2012-
2013. There my job was to assist the Chef Manager with basic food preparation, prepare food
items for the menu according to distribution and serving customers where directed. This job also
required for me to take care and look after the tidiness and cleanliness kitchen, and the restaurant
seating area and cash handling and supporting necessary sales as well as supervise stock and
notify the manager regarding refilling the required stock items. Working as an assistant helped
me to deal with diversified situations as well as people. Dealing with challenges taught me how
to handle unfavourable situation and resolve problems after being able to critically analyse the
problem. Additionally, it taught me about how to supervise as well as managing stocks and cash
then coordinating with the managers regarding the any improvements or issues. After getting the
most out this job I had to move towards the next step to acquire more skills and experience for
my career in order to provide me with better opportunities in future and create high
employability success. So, the next job I applied for was for the role of warehouse operative at
Reiss in 2013. Taking this job helped me determine better plans for my future, moreover I was
able to get many growth opportunities in the same organisation. My previous experience helped
to to get a better understanding of this job in such a way that I did not feel high pressure of
incapable of accomplishing the tasks assigned to me being a warehouse operative. I kept learning
