Introduction and Reflective Journal Scope
This reflection report shows the experience, challenges, and skills that I have learned from
assignment 1 and 2. It also depicts the concepts which have increased my knowledge. This
reflection journal has a wider concept as it provides learning resources that can be learned from
research. This reflective journal also provides me significant knowledge with respect to
advantages and disadvantages of cloud computing for the business.
Critically and depth of learning reflections reflective analysis
This research was beneficial for me to gain understanding regarding cloud computing. In this
way, it can be evaluated that cloud computing is an internet-based networking system where
computer created different kind of storage and management procedure within an organization
(Apostu, et. al., 2013).
Further, this research proposal is beneficial to generate knowledge regarding the cloud
computing as I have learned that this system aids company to keep distinct IT system with
respect to data storage purpose. It also enables the company to reduce the IT infrastructure
expenditure of the corporation. This research experience is effective to enhance my career as I
can implement the cloud computing system at the workplace due to having research and IT skill.
Through the research proposal, I have gained my knowledge regarding research aims and
objectives as well as a research question. In this way, I have learned that this has to be prepared
before starting the project to complete the research in a comprehensible manner.
This research proposal also developed my knowledge that cloud computing research has a wider
scope. In this way, it can be determined that this research provides information regarding
meaning and concepts of an information system for business entities (Rittinghouse and Ransome,
2016). It also provides information regarding different benefits and limitation of cloud

computing as it enables me to make a feasible decision at the workplace with respect to business
growth.
By studying the literature review, it is observed that cloud computing is the use of remote server
network as compared to using local server network for storing, administrating and processing the
information through the internet (Hashem, et. al., 2015). This concept facilitates me to consume
a lot of computing resources within an organization like a virtual machine, application, and
storage. Consequently, it will enhance my professional life in future.
From the study, I have boosted my experience regarding the current trend of cloud computing. In
this way, it can be discussed that serverless computing is being entailed as a well-known trend in
cloud computing. This can save not only operational but also the infrastructural cost of business.
This can be increased while the manager has to install different servers with respect to business
process (Gutierrez, et. al., 2015). This learning is significant for me to implement the current
trend during the implementation of cloud computing.
From the literature review, I have also built my depth knowledge in the context of advantages of
cloud computing. This study pointed that cloud computing is a cost-effective approach which
aims to store a high amount of information without using different servers (González-Martínez,
et. al., 2015). Therefore, it could be beneficial for me to implement the cloud computing system
within an organization. As a result, I can enhance my personal and professional life.
During the study, I have faced different challenges such as when I gathered the information from
participants then the conflict has taken place between me and them due to inadequate resources.
Although, I have resolved these issues yet it creates negative perception amid respondents.
Along with this, it is observed that cloud computing is more appropriate as compared to in-house
IT infrastructure as it possesses a high amount of averse IT resources (Fernando, et. al., 2013).

This system is essential for me to deal with the server failure as I can rapidly deliver the service
and transfer the company’s information to some other servers.
Through literature review, I have developed my understanding regarding security. In this way, I
have learned that security is being chosen as one of the critical issues which are related to cloud
computing. Along with this, it is analyzed that research questions are effective to define the
research concern and create structure aspect to identify appropriate solution for the given
problem (Assunção, et. al., 2015). As a result, I am able to make research question as well as I
can complete the research in an appropriate way.
From the research design and methodology, I have learned that research design provides depth
analysis regarding entire tactic which could be used by a research to meet the research objectives
and solves the research issue. It is also assessed that qualitative research design will be used for
this research because of descriptive research issues (Kumar, et. al., 2015). As a result, I am able
to select the research design for further research.
In addition, this research has gained my knowledge regarding sampling. I have pointed that cloud
computing technology has been used by the mall and large companies as population size is wide.
For conducting the research, the researcher will choose a certain company that uses this
technology because reaching each element of the population is not possible (Oliveira, et. al.,
2014).
During the study of research methodology, I have boosted my experience regarding the
designing process. In this way, I have learned that secondary data collection method is used to
conduct qualitative research. Along with this, thematic approach is used to gather the data
regarding research issue. For this, different themes are prepared as per the research objectives

(Garrison, et. al., 2015). This learning is beneficial for me to collect the data in further research
as it can enhance my personal as well as professional career.
This research has also developed my knowledge with respect to data collection process. In this
way, I have learned that secondary data can be collected from different sources like text-book,
online articles, and journals. Along with this, I have assessed that snowball sampling techniques
can be used to accomplish the reliable and valid information for the mentioned problem. This
learning is effective for me to use sampling procedure during research as well as I am able to
obtain the reliable and valid outcome.
From this research, I have gained understanding regarding research limitation. In this way, I have
learned that time and cost are two key constraints that create complexities to gather the
information regarding cloud computing. In the last, I have learned that research plan is beneficial
to perform the activities on specified time duration. Overall, it can be stated that this research is
beneficial for me to make improvement in my different skills like research, and technical skills.
Conclusion
From the above report, it can be interpreted that my experience was good as I have improved my
technical skills as well as research skills. Along with this, it can be evaluated that both
assignment 1 and assignment 2 has developed my understanding regarding different concepts
such as literature review, research background, research methodology and research schedule.
