INTRODUCTION
Business communication could be delineated as a process to transmit information among
individuals within addition to outside premises of company. For the project, BusinessUnited is
considered establishment which is a private educational system based in London. The leaflet covers
common challenges as well as barriers to effective communication, effective strategies in order to
overcome communication barriers and importance of cultural awareness.
Challenges and barriers to complete effective communication
In an organisation, communication barriers along with challenges makes communication very
challenging. In case with BusinessUnited, certain number of challenges and barriers that are faced
within the college because of COVID-19 are as follows:
Technical barriers: In present era, technology is widely used for the purpose of mediating
communication. Within BusinessUnited, professionals and students faces technical challenges in
communication due to poor Wi-Fi that states that learners many a times misses important part of
lessons as well as fails to understand what is going on.
Emotional barriers: It is composition of mistrust, suspicion together with fear. In BusinessUnited,
learners are missing chances to interact with professions or lecturers and feels isolated in studying
from houses because of COVID-19 which demotivate them.
Physical barriers: It is natural situation which acts as challenge in communication while
transmitting information. In association to BusinessUnited, students of the university gets
uncomfortable sitting looking on the screen for longer durations that results in issues to heath.
Noise barriers: In communication, noise is any kind of persistent disturbance that decreases and
confuses clarity of transmitted information. Due to COVID-19, various lecturer from professors of
BusinessUnited are taken online in which students constantly interrupt classes on Zoom app that
creates complexity to emphasis.

The importance of cultural awareness
Cultural awareness is said to understanding about differences among backgrounds on which
different people belong. When two or more people interact in cross cultural circumstances, lack of
awareness could result in poor decision making. In case with Business United, cultural awareness
is significant to reduce poor decision making among lecturers, professionals and students in the
COVID-10 pandemic. Moreover, it is also important as it enhances possibilities for creating
meaning insights and learning about cultures, beliefs and values of different cultures through
which different learners, teachers and others belong.
CONCLUSION
The presented information concludes that business communication improves practices of
company, keeps people informed as well as reduces chances of errors. Challenges and barriers of
communication impacts on interpersonal relationship and results in low morale of individual.

overcome communication barriers that have been faced because of COVID-19. Some are

can send lectures in Pdf or Ppt on email of each student so that students can use them to study as
per their convenience and can focus on their health.
Interactive sessions: The strategy is suitable for Business United to get rid of emotional
barriers as this will help professors or lecturers to have interaction with peers and students.
Moreover, interactive sessions allow students to have one on one duration with their teachers and
sharing their complexities.
Strong Bandwidth Connection: With high bandwidth or strong internet connection,
teaching students online becomes more easy in pertaining situation of COVID-19. When students
and teachers will have strong bandwidth connection they it will help Business United to solve
technical barrier as all information will be send and received at a time.
