A specific type of business communication
Internal Communication is a specific type of communication in the organisation. It includes
interaction in a specific way within the organisation. It is useful in the term of organisational
concern. It increases the level of job satisfaction in the employees and reduces the labour
turnover.
Internal communication has some types like upwards and downward communication. Upward
communication refers to interaction with the superior or employees from the management. This
communication is taken place between two individuals. This communication includes the
exchange of information, express enthusiasm, providing feedback, achieve job satisfaction and
offering ideas.
In downward communication, the flow of information is taken place from top to down
superiority of the organization. It includes encouragement, morale booster, obtains feedback etc.
Horizontal communication occurs between employees to employees or the two or group of
individual who belongs to the same level in the organisation. For example building goodwill,
solving the problem, accomplishing or improving teamwork etc. (Mizrahi, 2015).
Characteristics of specific business communication
Characteristics of Business communication are clear, concise, focusing, understanding,
emotional control and awareness etc. Focusing is the main characteristics in business
communication because in this era employees have the capability of doing multitask work at the
same time. It needs to be more focused towards the task and attentive for the communication
channels. If an individual lost his or her focus, it lost some vital aspect regarding its work.
Specific example
Example: A manager of large scale organisation who handles the number of the task at the same
time. Like on globalisation concept, handle new clients and attend the orientation program for
new employees. Manager forgets about its meeting with the new client due to the orientation
program.

This may cause a huge loss of organisation, so the manager should maintain the focused towards
its meeting and other events by dealing with e-mail and communication with those individuals
who are directly connected with the task (Zhu, 2016).
