Business communication is basically the process of transmitting the information to one person to
another and also understanding from the one person to another for the view of getting the desired
response from the other side that is the receiver. This is the process from which two or more persons
can exchange their ideas and also make understanding among themselves and achieve the covet effect
in another person behavior. There is a two-way channel that is used for transmitting the ideas, plans,
feelings, suggestions towards the objective of the organisation (Wang. et. al. 2016).
There are five characteristics of successful Business Communication:
Proactive Participation: good communicators always seek out opportunities which
definitely work to develop their skills. It may also include volunteering to bench with the
meeting or to give the presentation or speech. For example, contributing the opinions and
knowledge in the group discussions or the meeting and not to sit back and let the
conversation flow.
Ability to learn from others: there are always other effective skills and the strategies that
can also be learned from other persons and learn for the individual’s own rule. Successful
communicators in the business are willing to be coach by experience and skills.
Listening rather than hearing: as being a good listener will make the successful
communicators. This is all about listening and collecting useful information and process it. If
anybody does not listen properly can lead to the misunderstanding and also a breakdown in
business communication (Karibayeva. et. al. 2016).
Willingness to practice the communication skills: the good communicators will practice
every day for refining their skills and manner.
Staying focused: don’t lose the focus from the person from which the other person
communicating. The good business communication skills are the best benefit that every
manager, leader wants to obtain.
