Business communication is the sharing of information and the data within an enterprise for
the smooth working of the business. Business communication is important for the entire
organization for sharing important information and to promote its product and services
(Wang, et. al., 2016). There are various methods available for business communication such
as reports, internal communication methods, emails, proposals, etc.
Internal communication
Internal communication is the tool responsible for effective communication across the
organisation. It is a very effective method of exemplary business communication as it allows
flawless communication of information. There are numerous methods available for internal
communication such as emails, Fax, notice board, telephones, letters, memo, complaint box.
Internal communication methods help out the business to circulate the information and data
easily without any hurdle.
Characteristics of internal communication methods are as follows:
Lucidity: Internal communication methods provide clarity. It helps the organisation to send
clear information throughout the entire organisation. For example: If a message needs to be
circulated among all the employees, other business communication methods will take time
however through internal communication method a message can promptly be circulated
among the employees of the organisation.
Budgeted: internal communication methods are less expensive or economical. An
organisation can easily afford internal communication methods. There are numerous methods
available for internal communication, so the sender should select the best internal methods in
order to send the information internally (Wu, et al., 2015). For example, a notice needs to be
sent out to all the employees the other means of business communication will be costly;
however writing the notice on the notice board will save the cost. Notice board is the method
of internal communication.
Attention: Through the internal communication methods the information or a message can
be sent with high importance. For example, emails can send out with the high importance,
