Cultural misunderstanding-Due to Cultural misunderstanding staff of Go travel
in new location are unable to communicate with consumers and other staff
members. When workers cannot be able to understand different cultures, it
develops misunderstanding while communication. Cultural misunderstanding
occurs when employees are unable to identify other perspective. It is complex
phenomena because they include perception, conflict management and intercultural
communication competence.
Language barriers-A obstacle to communication between people who are unable
to speak a common language is known as Language barriers that affect consumers
services. Go travel hire people who are unable to speak English, it creates challenge
in effective communication process between consumers and staff. Due to this
barrier new workers face issues as they cannot understand what people are try to
say.
Unorganized procedure-Go travel company open office in new location, where
they receive number of complain from its consumers, that staff is unorganized they
do not communicate with each other that affect communication.
Strategies to overcome communication barriers
Go Travel overcome communication barrier by organizing
process, they make staff structure much better than before, provide tools
that help to communicate people with each other, it will solve issue and
make unorganized process in well organized manner. By using phones
and email system, staff make effective communication.Language barrier
is the another obstacle that affect communication and make it ineffective.
To overcome this challenge, new recruited staff conduct learning
practices, employees at workplace or at home try to speak in English, they
must read books and Novels to develop better understanding in different
types of languages. With the help of this technique they can communicate
and understand consumers perspective.Cultural misunderstanding will be
solved effectively when workers identify issues that cause barriers to
effective communication. They must work with other team member, try to
communicate and understand their culture which help to overcome this
barrier and make communication better.
Cultural awareness influence on communication and negotiation-
Awareness of culture make positive effect communication, as it permits
people to communication with some respect and aware them to use right words.
Along with this, it also influence on negotiation, for example workers with culture
awareness negotiate other team members and build inclusive work culture that
enhance practices and motivate staff to do their job with full concentration. By
having cultural awareness, workers take better decision as they encourage other
members to take participation in decision-making process and consider their point
of view regarding strategic planning and other things.
