INTRODUCTION
Business communication plays a major role in success of a business organisation. In this
report there is discussion related to the theories of business communication (Kalogiannidis,
2020). The issues faced by employees is analysed and the solution for the same is also part of
this report. There is reflection related to presentation and the need of improvement.
MAIN BODY
Background
“Complaining as a group of employees about a policy or procedure.”
Each and every business organisation must follow the policies and procedures properly.
The employees have right to speak if the same is not followed. The current topic is related to a
group of employees that are facing issue with training and development policy of the
organisation. It is seen that there is need to have good and effective training policy in the
organisation (Bolten, 2020). The employees feel that they are in need on training if any new
software in used by the company. There is need of managing change with the help of providing
training. It is seen that some of the employees are being provide training and then no
performance review is done. So, it is important to file complaint to the higher authority so that
the needs and wants of the employees can be satisfied. The group of employees is taking
initiative and complaining against the training policy of the company.
Linking the theories
There is effective role of communication in the business organisation. It is necessary to
know about the theories of communication and they will also help them to communicate properly
(Guffey and Loewy, 2021). It is necessary to manage all the policies and procedures and
communicating effectively with the employees of the company. The different theories of
communication are as follows:
Communication Accommodation Theory: There is need of proper communication
among two people so that the goals and objectives can be achieved properly. It is examined that
people transfer the communication in two ways convergence and divergence.
Coordinated Management of Meaning: It is seen that people are able to create meaning
through coordination of conversation. The people follow hierarchy and this helps them to draw
meaning from the message (Business Communication Theories, 2021).

Cultural Approach to Organizations: This theory believes that there is great importance
of culture in life of people. They value the culture and like to build network so that all the rituals
are being followed.
Expectancy Violations Theory: This theory states the ways of developing non verbal
communication (Pikhart, 2018). If the rules of communication are developed then the same will
can have both negative and positive impact on the people.
Example solutions to the issues from real companies
There is need of proper training and development to all the employees. But, there are
certain issues that are faced and the training policy is unable to implemented properly. In relation
to Sainsbury's, it is a multinational organisation and there is effective training needs seen in the
employees. The management is unable to provide training to the employees on time. This is
enhancing the problems among the employees. The productivity of the business organisation is
also declining due in effective training being provided to the employees. This is due to lack of
communication in the company (Kalogiannidis and Papaevangelou, 2020). They are unable to
know about the requirement of the employees and this cause demotivation in the employees.
Along with that the employees say that ineffective training methods are being used. This shows
wastage of time and money of the organisation. There is need to take right decision and then
follow the same for success of the company.
The company must understand the needs and wants of the employees and then provide
them effective training. The skill gaps of the employees can be fulfilled with the help of training.
The company must ask the employees about the need of skills that can be developed. It will help
them to boost the performance and attain success of the company (Sheffield, 2020). The right
tools and techniques of training must be followed by company as it supports the requirement of
employees. Proper training keeps the employees motivated to achieve goals and objectives
successfully.
Solution
It is seen that a company must know about the training needs of the employees. There is
need to communicate effectively with the employees so that they are able to share all the events
with the management. It is necessary for a company to follow communication accommodation

objectives effectively. It is necessary for the company to keep on interacting with the employees
so that their training needs and wants can be analysed. By checking the requirement of the
employees the company will manage the work properly. Along with that, coordinated
management of meaning will also help the company to carry on the task effectively. There is
requirement of proper coordination as it helps them to satisfy the needs and wants of the
customers (Siddiqui, and Sahar, 2019). There is need to know about the cultural aspects that are
important for the company. By following all the norms and valuing the culture the company is
able to manage the overall training needs properly. It is necessary to note that the employees
must be provided timely training to the employees so that they are able to manage their work
properly. The use of right techniques is important and will enhance the overall performance of
the company.
What went well in the presentation and why
At the time of carrying of presentation I am able to enhance my skills and knowledge.
There is need of proper research so that details related to topic can be find out. It is necessary for
me carry on effective research. The use my research skills helped me to carry on proper analysis
related to topic. I have examined the theories of communication and there use in the
organisation. The employees must be provided with proper training so that they are able to
enhance their performance and attain success (Halawi and Haydar, 2018). The use of proper
skills help to carry on the work properly. I have also analysed that the due to my communication
skills I am able to carry on the presentation. I faced certain problems and by my interacting skills
I was able to ask my doubts. The use of proper communication enhance the success of the
project.
What improvements need to be made according to the Feedback
I need to work on my creativity so that the presentation can be made more creative. The
use of more photographs and bullet points will enhance the creativity of the presentation. The
main problem is related to presentation of information (Kelly and Romero, 2019). I also need to
focus on the content and improvise my using more and more examples. It is necessary to carry
on the work in such a manner that all the tasks are completed properly. I will also write more
specific information and it will help me to get good marks. By managing the content in proper
manner, I will be able to work in effective manner.

What actions will you take to make the suggested improvements.
I will take online classes that will help me to improve my presentation skills. The use of
presentation skills will enhance the creativity level. It is necessary to know about the
requirements of the presentation and use bullet points. I will also take care of time and will
complete the work on time so that I can make corrections on time as well. There is need of
managing the overall work on right time so that the task can be completed properly (Tabassum,
2019). I will assure that the same is taken care in future and there is no problem being faced by
the employees.

From the above report, it is analysed that there is need to communicate effectively with
the employees. The communication helps to solve all the problems of the employees. It will help
the company to maintain effective environment. In the report, there is discussion related to the
issues that a company can face if policy and procedures are followed properly. The actions that
can be taken by company in order to solve the problem are important part of the report. Along
with that the areas of improvement are identified so that actions can be taken for future.
