Introduction
Effective communication in business is very crucial as it helps in sharing the
information that is inside and outside of the organization (Thompson, 2018). It helps the
employees and the managers interact within themselves in order to reach the organizational
goals and objectives. There are many potential benefits associated with Facebook for any
business (Dua, 2018). This online platform has always helped the company in increasing
sales and draw profits for the business. This argument is based on how Facebook is suitable
for any business communication.
Discussion
Facebook is the simplest means of communication for any business, small or big. It
helps in interacting and engaging the customers towards the offerings of the company. For
small to medium businesses where budget is a high concern for the people; Facebook plays a
very crucial role in minimizing the cost of marketing activities. Facebook is considered as
one of the marketing strategies that incur lower cost than any other marketing strategies used
(Westerfield & Cain, 2019). Besides, for large companies, Facebook can be used for
conducting more prominent campaigns related to the products or services of the organization
(Macarthy, 2018).
Facebook also helps in reaching out to the customers through their webpage easily
and at a quick pace of time (Daugherty, 2019). It helps in making the customers stay
connected throughout and stay updated about the new services or products that are coming
up. Customers can stay connected after the purchasing have been done as customers can post
the questions that are related to the after sales of the product, and the staff will answer all the
queries posted by the customers. This will help in forming a loyal customer base for the
business.

This online platform also helps in the retention of the existing customers and
acquiring the new one by continually keeping in touch with them and telling about the latest
add-ons in the business (Sias & Duncan, 2018). Facebook plays a significant role in engaging

share the contents that are required for the stakeholders quickly and efficiently across the
world. The stakeholders can stay updated from the businesses they have invested in (Cho,
Furey & Mohr, 2017).

Thus, from the above discussion, it can be concluded that Facebook plays a very significant
role in business communication as it helps in keeping the customers and the stakeholders
engaged at the same time, the cost of operation and the marketing activities is reduced using
this online platform. Besides, Facebook has the capability of reaching mass in just a click of a
finger, and this helps the business to reach out to a maximum number of customers and draw
profits as well as revenues for the business. Hence, if an organization is thinking of
increasing its potential and acquire a new segment of customers and stay connected to them,
social media marketing through Facebook would help in doing this immensely.
