Introduction
The study highlights the extensive use of intranet in nursing division of Singapore
General Hospital. The obtained idea from the study indicates the major benefits and advantages
of using the intranet as the communication media in the internal environment. The observation of

study would provide the suitable recommendations as well for the future prospects.
Benefits of Intranet
Intranet is mainly used for developing the internal communication. The extensive
research based on the effective use of the intranet for diverse practices within the workplace. For
example, intranet helps for providing necessary training to the employees, creates the discussion
group, establishes the mentorship programs, and updates the policies and procedures (Liaw et al.,
2014). It also helps in creating the information flow. As per the study, it has been observed that
intranet is considered as the powerful networking hub, which delivers the useful information
related to the professional segments (Fallon & Brown, 2016). The current business world is
continuously changing. Intranet adds more significance to such advancements.

Intranet is one of the helpful medium for sharing the necessary information and
