Subject: Impact of communication in businesses.
Communication in a business is very important as it discloses information throughout it. There
are various ways in which communication can impact a business. The three ways mentioned on
how communication has had an impact on businesses.
Goodwill of the company is an issue which is defined in the article of Argenti, 2016, which
describes how the communication process of an organization affects its reputation. It was seen in
the article how the change of communication process has impacted the company in many ways.
Having effective communication is necessary for an organization to run smoothly. Before the
introduction of technology, it was seen that the information provided to the employees was kept
inside of the company and not let out. But after the introduction of technology and various
communication channels, it became an issue on how the information was to be given. Also, there
was a greater risk of information theft. If the happens the goodwill of the organization will be in
jeopardy (Argenti, 2017).
In another article by Argenti, 2017, the author has discussed how the strategic communication
process in the company can impact the way on how the company is run. Different strategies for
communication include how a plan or information is communicated throughout the organization.
If there is no proper way in which communication can be sent throughout the company then there
would be chaos present in the company. Proper communication is established in a company then
it can be used as a tool for implementing a strategy. If the internal communications of the
company are structured well, then the company will have no problem in executing a management
strategy that it wants to accomplish. Good communication will allow smooth flow of process and
other functions that are present in the company.

The culture of a company is impacted by communication. The culture of a company is its main
rules and regulations that it runs by. The value of a company can be known from what culture it
has. It is necessary for the company to clearly communicate the culture of it to its employees so
that they know what rules and regulations are present in it. Through communication, it can be
clearly understood what the value of the company is and the employees can understand how the
company is working (Erjavec, et. al. 2018).
A proper understanding of a communication process in an organisation is important as it helps in
better understanding of it. The reputation of an organisation is dependent on how communication
is inside of it. The culture and planning in an organisation can also be affected by
communication. In conclusion, it can be seen that communication plays a vital role in every
aspect of the organisation.
