Understanding of Academic and Professional Integrity
There has been a change in the academic structure around the globe in the last decade.
According to, Bealle (2017) the changes in the education system has led to a number of cases
of dishonesty. Academic dishonesty has been one of the most difficult issues that educators
deals with. I have seen such cases of dishonesty in the modern times as the inclusion of e-
learning has been largely due to the perceived cases of issues between the faculty and the
students. Academic and professional integrity must be present within the business
organization in order to ensure a smooth implementation of the university policies. As I have
experienced the lack of academic integrity in many areas of education I must say that it is
very much important for both the educators as well as the students to ensure that they
maintain proper ethics in order to ensure integrity.
Significance of Academic and professional Integrity
As said earlier, Keener et al. (2019) academic integrity is one of the most important
elements of modern education system. I think a person who has integrity is the person who is
honest and trustworthy in nature. The people with personal values and morals have their own
set of personal integrity. During my university days, I have seen that maintaining an
academic integrity is important for the persons while earning the degree. Such a quality in a
person can help in different kinds of academic accomplishments. As seen by me students
with academic integrity will generally work hard to earn the degrees in a fair and honest
manner. The presence of such an academic integrity is thus important for the students as well
as the educators.
Application of Academic and Professional Integrity
The maintenance of academic integrity and the application of the integrity during the
educational process is highly important for the management of the business. It is important

for the management of the business to combine the different values of the academic integrity
that includes honesty, trust, fairness, respect as well as responsibility. The application of the
system can be established by means of a proper and systematic system that includes the likes
of a proper training for both the educators as well as the students (Thomas and Scott 2016). I
believe the application of the academic and professional integrity is key to the success of the
education system in the present as well as the future.
Explanation and Comparison of current understanding of Academic and Professional
Integrity
Different kinds of researches has focused on the academic integrity in terms of the
conduct of the students conduct in relation to different kinds of university rules and
procedures (Roff et al. 2015). It is important for the detailed understanding of both the
contemporary as well as the traditional forms of integrity in order to maintain a proper
balance in the education system. I have seen that the lack of understanding of both these
systems has been a problem for the education industry. The education industry therefore must
have a common form of understanding based on the academic integrity to ensure success.
