Introduction
The main aim of discussion in this paper will be to discuss about the characteristics of
applications and their overall help to operate the business communications. The overall
market scenario will be taken into account while discussing this paper.
Selection of Business Communication
The form of business communication that has been selected to be discussed is the
mobile application. Mobile applications play an integral part in the business operations of the
companies. It can be stated in this context that usage of smartphones has increased at a huge
rate mainly due to the advancement of technology (Harris, Brookshire & Chin, 2016). It has
been found by the researchers that there are more than three billion smartphone users present
around the world. The number has already crossed 17 million in the region of Australia and it
can be estimated that the number will cross 18 million within the year of 2020 (Statista,
2020).
It can also be stated in this context that a major section of the mobile applications
used by the business houses involves the usage of different social media platforms, along
with the Web and outreach. Promotions in the form of advertisements are made by the
management of these business entities in those social media platforms which are engaging the
people from the market place (Aijaz, Aghvami & Amani, 2013). Mobile applications help to
collect the customer feedbacks after using various kinds of products and services that are
offered by those companies. All these mobile applications, for example, the application of
Uber, helps to segregate into new market places and increase the market share of the places
where the services of this online ride-sharing service provider organization (Uber India,
2020).

The mobile applications also use to collect and analyse the data gathered from
different market places, so that the strengths as well as the weaknesses of that particular
organization can be evaluated and alterations can be made in the strategies that are followed
by these organizations. Changes in the offerings of the existing products and services, for
example, in case of Amazon, can be made according to the changes in the tastes and
preferences of the people. New range of fashions and accessories or electronic items can be
sold from the online platform of Amazon to attract new prospects and make their customers
(Amazon.com, 2020).
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that business entities like Amazon or
Uber, which totally depends on their mobile applications, have to rely on this form of
business communication to engage people from the market places where they are serving and
help to earn profit from there.
