Business communication is associated with the ways and methods in

one another. The process of communicating in a business goes through
various processes and stages of an organisation structure. The process
of business communication is effective if managers and workers

objectives. Establishment of proper communication structures is
needed in order to ensure clarity of targets and how they could be
accomplished. In this presentation, the contemporary challenge of
communicating during a global pandemic and the potential issues are
broadly discussed. The situations posed by pandemic resulted in
disturbance of business operations and leads to downfall and closure of
many business enterprises. The challenges of communication during
pandemic and its implications are described in this presentation.

potential issues
During the COVID-19 pandemic, business entities and companies have attempted to
sustain their business through finding ways of communicating.
Due to the lock-down restrictions and regulations imposed by the government to
implement social distancing measures, companies and businesses have to face brief
discontinuation of work due to sudden implications of pandemic.
After continuing with practice of work from home adopted by corporations and
enterprises, the flow and structure of business communication was disrupted. The issues of
effectively collaborating and discussing targets and functions were started arising during
the course of work from home.
Employees have to deal with connection issues and lack of relevant devices which
facilitate communication during pandemic. The disturbances and distractions at home
served as a barrier in constructive interaction process.
The factors of different time zone was also a relevant issue in multinational companies.
The lack of motivation was faced by employees while working at home in the absence of
corporate decorum.

which describe the flow in which communications is done. Due to the policy of
working from home adopted by organisations and companies, the models and structures
of communication are disrupted which leads to failure of effective collaborating among
workers.
The Shanon and Weaver theory model explains that the process of communication
starts with the mind of the sender. The sender converts his views into a piece of
message which he tend to deliver to the receiver. The message then circulate with the
involvement of various media and people and then received by the brain of the receiver.
After that the message is interpreted and response is sent back to the respective sender.
This whole process could be interrupted with various interruptions and disturbances.
On the basis of this model, communicating during pandemic has multiplied the chances
of failure due to factors that cause interruption. Communicating without directly
interacting with person could significantly create problems in understanding the
messages.

How companies are dealing with issue of communicating
during pandemic
The course of pandemic introduced the changes in policies and redefined
the structures and ways of business communication while working from
home. Multinational companies and large business organisations have
implemented approaches and techniques to continue the flow of work
during lock-down conditions.
Enterprises applied digital technologies and modern advancements in
their working which facilitated the communication process and operating

and conferences to facilitate discussions and group trainings. Educational
institutions are conducting teaching sessions and executing the process of
learning through applications like Zoom app and Microsoft teams.

My solution to the issue
The issue of communicating during pandemic was a challenging task
which is still relevant due to the emerging risks of COVID-19. I have
analysed and evaluated the practices of online communication with
effectiveness through various applications. During pandemic, the process
of business communication could be executed with using digital apps
which facilitate online interaction of individuals at a time. The business
communication could also be properly ensured by employing staff
partially in the day to day activities of the enterprise. While taking
effective precautionary measures of social distancing, the flow of
communication could be improved through attending offices and
organisations in person.

While preparing presentation, I felt that the matter is in the organised
form and structured way as well so I don't have to face difficulty in terms
of organising the matter within the slides. I can easily attach images
according to relevant topic which makes me feeling happy and excited
while visiting to different sites for the images. I can properly align the
matter into appropriate manner with proper font size and line spacing as
well which will make the ppt more attractive and to the point as well.
Through this way, I feel comfortable while preparing presentation. I feel
difficulty in terms of pasting matter in the notes section because its not
easy to identify how much matter should be pasted within the speaker
notes section.

improvements due to which I have to search certain parameters on
online basis so that I can deliver appropriate results according to all

optimum utilisation of modern technologies saved the companies and enterprises by enabling
