In our assignment process, I was put in a group of seven students. We were learning
more about digital marketing and how it is used as a marketing tool. Previously I have
worked in a group of three or maximum four members so in this assignment I had to work
with more people. It is known that the bigger a group, the more would be its need for
integration to work properly. Soon after the group formation, we chose a member to be the
leader through a lottery method. Working in a group of seven has made me realise how
important it is to focus on teamwork so that the group and its functioning is maintained.
Teamwork is the result of all members who should be ready to give efforts as a group (Chen
et al. 2019). In the group, while dealing with the various aspects of our assignments we took
all the decisions as a team where everyone had a day. The topics that each of us will cover
was selected again by the random method. Whenever there was a problem, the magnitude and
nature of the problem were discussed. After that, it was solved by taking the suggestions of
every member of the group. No decisions were taken alone by the leader or a few members of
the group. Everyone had an equal say in the entire assignment.
Daily communication was maintained within the group members during the time of
the assignment so that we are aware of each other's status of the task and are able to clear
each other's doubts or mutually provide motivation. Due to this communication, we also had
the chance to share our knowledge on the topic and get more acquainted with it. Whenever
any member got stuck in a part of the assignment, there were others eager to help that person
out. I got to do the part of digital marketing through social media where one of my fellow
teammates helped me with additional information so that I could understand my topic better
(Miller, 2019). Everyone in the group was more or less friendly therefore not much problem
was faced to exhibit teamwork in our assignment. Additionally, the group leader was also
able to solve the little conflicts within the group efficiently making sure that it does not affect
our work.
Unlike my past experiences of teamwork, I realise that in real experiences I will have
to work with a team bigger than three or four members. As a result, the importance of
properly maintaining a bigger team and making it work efficiently together instead of giving
place to differences and arguments has become very clear to me. I have learned some
effective methods we used in this team like the one of problem-solving, mutual motivation
and eagerness to help the fellow team members. These methods would definitely help me
promote better teamwork within the groups I'll be placed within the future. I have decided to

be more patient, helpful and most importantly approachable to my team members so that I am
able to work better in a team.
