Introduction
Communication is a very important aspect in professional and individual development that helps
in effective functioning of the organisation. Present report is based on analysing the different
aspects of effective business communication at workplace (Nölle and et.al., 2018). The way there
can be improvement of present business communication skills. Further, there is a diffraction that
is based on the way different elements of business communication are particularly important in a
business context.
Effective business communication at workplace:
Effective business communication is basically related to involving the communication process
that takes place between two or more parties. It is related to having focus on professionalism and
clarity in the process of transmission of information (Prabhu and . et.al.,, 2017)munication
channels that can assist in the process of smooth transmission of information from the speaker to
listener. Developing clarity amongst workforce of such communication channels is responsibility
of leaders and managers in the professional working environment.
How business communication skills can be improved and how it will help in moving forward:
There are certain aspects that have been learnt from the module that can help in improving the
process of business communication (Chauhan, Tiwari and Soni, 2017). There are many formal
and informal com. Such as there is a requirement to properly listen to the speaker before
speaking. There has to be change in the communication style as per specific requirements of
changing instances.
Improvement in going forward: For the purpose of moving forward there is requirement to
have effective communication skills that can help in enhancing the present communication level.
It includes working on verbal and non verbal types of communication (Canel and Luoma-aho,
2018). There is a requirement to focus on skills of emotional intelligence and self confidence.
Further having effective presentation skills can also lead to words improving the communication
process in an individual.

There are some other elements of business communication that are very important it includes
listening. In this there is requirement to firstly clearly listen to the person and then react to the
point. Another important element of business communication is to overcome the barrier that was
as a negative impact on the process of effective communication. It includes dealing with
emotional barriers or cultural differences (Chatterjee, Ghosh. and Chaudhuri, 2020). It is related
with the norms of social interaction that is completely different in different individuals.
Reflection
Description: In the initial stages of the report I was working on analysing the skills that are
required for effective business communication and methods of communication. I also analysed
the basic model of communication that exist in every formal or informal communication taking
place between two people.
Feelings: At this stage, I had an approach of evaluating the different barriers of communication.
I understood that dealing with barriers of communication is very important to have a effective
communication process.
Evaluation: The overall experience was very fine because I was able to understand the
importance of communication and different elements of business communication. The bad
experience was related to having confusion regarding various skills that are required for effective
business communication. So, I face some difficulty in evaluating overall elements of some
communication aspects.
Analysis: The report helped me in having a proper and detailed understanding of the different
activities and aspects of communication. I was also able to develop solutions to effective
business communication that can help in a proper professional development of an individual.
Conclusions: It is concluded from the over all aspects of the report that I was able to understand
the importance of effective business communication. Whether it is a large enterprise, small
business or a large corporate organisation having effective communication from top management
to the lower level management is essentially required for smooth business functioning. This
