INTRODUCTION
Business communication is a process of information sharing among people within the
organization or outside. Business communication is performed for the commercial benefits of
organization. The present poster is e based on communication and its barriers of effective
communication. Further, it will lay down the strategies for overcoming communication barriers
and demonstrate awareness of cultural influences on communication and negotiation.

Common challenges and barriers to effective communication.
Effective communication with colleagues is one of the valuable skills. There are some
communication barriers and challenges to effective communication which are as follows:
Emotional barriers:
In effective communication, self-confidence plays an effective role. On the other hand, it
can break down psychological barriers. Self-confidence is a barrier in effective communication
which is faced by manager of Mr. Fishy restaurant because it creates the lack of self-confidence
in people.
Cultural barriers:
Culture difference creates challenge for effective communication. This gives negative
impact on employees and manager of Mr. Fishy. This barrier is created by people in organization
who belongs with different culture and custom. The restaurant is covered by British and non-
British employees who work together in the restaurant.
These are communication barriers and challenges which are faced by manager of Mr.
fishy restaurant in effective communication.
Develop strategies for overcoming communication barriers.
Communication barriers creates problem for company. It is very important to overcome
these barriers by developing effective strategies. Strategies for overcoming communication
barriers are as follows:
Use simple language:
Use simple language is prefect method for overcoming communication barriers and
challenges in effective manner. In the restaurant, various employees are working who belongs to
different culture and community but knows the basic e language like English. It is the basic

language which is communicated by all peoples in effective manner. This is the best strategy to
overcome communication barriers form Mr. fishy restaurant.
Use visual methods of communication
Use visual method of communication is other strategy to overcome communication
barriers. Manager of Mr. fishy should use visual methods like diagram or pictures, gestures to
explain complicated concepts. Through, this staff members can understand all aspects of work in
proper manner.
These are the strategies which are help to overcome communication barriers and
challenges in effective manner.
Demonstration of awareness of cultural influences on communication and negotiation.
Culture influences on communication and negotiation like hoe people think,
communicate and behave. It also affects the kinds of transactions they make and ways to
negotiate them. Demonstrating the awareness of culture influences on communication and
negotiation are underneath:
Negotiation:
Culture is impact to negotiation because authority, credibility, information, time,
emotional control and communication skills. For example: various employees are working in
restaurant who are belongs with different culture. In the negotiation process, trust and mutual
confidence plays an important role.
Communication:
Culture difference impacts the communication in Mr. fishy in negative manner. For
example: British or non-British both people are working together in the restaurant and have
different languages, beliefs and cultures. This can impact to negotiation process because both
culture employee understand their own language. In this case they are not able to properly
attending the guests.
CONCLUSION
From the above it had been concluded that the communication is avery important process
in business communication. Emotional and cultural difference have been identified asd the main
challenges and barriers of effective communication. It had been also concluded that, it has very
important to overcome communication barriers by using simple language and visual methods of

communication. Furthermore, culture influence to negotiation and communication process in
restaurant.
